@DoctorEldritch I don't like raw garlic that much. It's because of the smell. While I do not smell my garlic breath the whole time it tends to not only repel pests but humans too. 😂

You're spot on!! I will exactly behave in that manner as illustrated. 😂

Every insect and creature has its purpose but it does not sound like a bad idea to get rid of them on a smallers scale and not the entire species. Population control will help a lot.

@DracoTarot Maybe not raw but cooked in a meal? Or try pickling it. And repelling humans can sometimes be a plus, like when you go to a heavy metal concert but do not want to be squeezed in a crowd 😅

Ah, then all that's left is to get a flamethrower. Or failing that, to get a good insecticide sprayer.

Well, humans are not yet at the stage where we can terraform on that scale. In the instances where we tried, it was rather counterproductive, like when cane toads or sparrows were introduced to Australia.

@DoctorEldritch Cooked in a meal is ok and we do it once in a while. I guess at certain concerts a stinky garlic breath could work like an Opera performance or where people sit next to each other or in close quarters.

At a metal concert, everybody has a distinct odour and many of them are unpleasant. Beer, tobacco and dodgy hotdog breaths are common. Not to mention sweaty armpits are everywhere. Even if you smell like a garlic plantation no one will give a hoot about it. 😂

Strangely enough, I read something very bizarre this morning similar to this subject. A woman in the UK has been arrested by police for cyber f@rting. It's news all over the UK.

So maybe intimidating someone by smell may not be a good idea after all. 😂

You're right we are not capable on a large scale to terraform and most things we destroy will not be restored within their balance. Maybe a genetic mutation or manipulation of structure in mozzies to make them less aggressive could be a solution.

This reminded me of that verse from the pirate song in The Curse of Monkey Island, here at 1:02:

I'd say it can still work, you just need to replace garlic with bhut jolokia 😉

Really? I am in the UK, but I have not heard about it. Then again, I do not have notifications for this...particular subject. I'll leave it at that.

Genetically manipulated mosquitoes is how the zombie apocalypse starts... 😅
