@DoctorEldritch thanks for the video that reminds me of the 1st Bayonetta 😁
And you're absolutely right, we have already plenty to do with old games

During the covid period, the gaming industry was not that good.. lack of tournaments, lack of games and trade events... the market for PC parts was like monopoly xD
alot of games got overhyped.. for example gta trilogy . the community was hyped for nothing
but im sure 2023/2024 will be better we already saw the progress from now

Yep good point though @avillio...during pandemic lock down time lack of content made people overhype for nothing.. no intention to underestimate their work but it was totally poor quality..we hope things get back on the right track as 2023 is a promising year for the industry

haha me too old schooler😂.. also waiting for Ghost of Tsushima to get ported into PC

I've been waiting for Fable 2 to get ported for PC for 14 years now. I mean, what is the point of porting part 1 and part 3 and not part 2?! Annoys me to no end. I liked part 1, despite its shortcomings, but I want to play them in order and can't do part 3 before part 2. And all the emulator solutions I tried did not help. So all left for me is waiting but, luckily, as I said, there are plenty of other games to play.

I would agree with some overhyping, but the pandemic was a hard time for everyone, and overhyping is a general problem. I guess it could be that people became more excitable during that time due to a lack of entertainment options. That's just my opinion, though.

The way the gaming industry works, though, many games that came out during that time were developed before the pandemic. And there were many good releases in, say, 2020: Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Paradise Killer, and even Assassin's Creed Valhalla, to name a few. Not to mention that Ghost of Tsushima, which we're all waiting for to get to PC, also came out that year.

So, interestingly, the year 2023 which promises to be good for the industry, as you said, would actually present the fruit of labors that started during the pandemic. Maybe developers got to work on games in isolation with no distractions and that will give us new good games next year. I hope. Then again, this is me trying to find some silver lining and seeing the glass half full.
