    Hello Legion Gamers!

This week, Steam launched the Steam Next Fest - June 2025 Edition. Lots of demos to try. And in that thread, @Telomina and I talked a bit about the Camper Van: Make it Home game with a cosy vibe. As a result of that, I decided to get it, and while looking it up on Steam, I stumbled on a whole event around the cosy games: Cozy & Family Friendly Games Celebration!

This is a third-party event, so no official video, but it has some discounts and demos. But more than that, it is a nice trove of cosy games to explore. For example, I rediscovered Traveller's Rest. I wanted to play it after it was out of Early Access, but it's been there for 5 years now (yikes), and I forgot about it until now. It is still in EA, but it is good to know it's still going.

I also took note of Solarpunk, mainly because I like a more positive message about the technology of the future of that genre when compared to Cyberpunk. Even though I am waiting for Nivalis more than Solarpunk 😅

And @Telomina, after our talk about the Camper Van: Make it Home, I got it and gave it a try. I liked it, though it was a bit...how do I put it...I do not normally take quite as much stuff with me as that game suggests, my camping style is rather minimalistic 😁 But it was still quite nice. If only all design alterations in caravans were as easy...

    And then I spotted Outbond:

To me, it looked similar to Camper Van: Make it Home, but with more focus on actual camping and building rather than design and space organisation. And it has some solarpunk notes, too. I thought I'd mention it to you just in case, this game looks like it can be Camper Van: Make it Home's cousin 😉

    Level 23
    Im glad you like it!
I almost got a heart attack when I got the instrument 😂 how many levels did you do so far? I think I have done 5. The later stages give you more varied styles of decoration, and you get more surfaces to choose from. I think so far my favorite combo is the teal and light beige ones.

I am also interested in Outbound. But will see if i have finished camper van by the time it comes out.

my plan for today was to pkay Dragon Shelter and report back. But alas, my health and cat decided that today is a snuggle the cat kinda day mainly. I also got a cute and wholesome game called Ashwood Valley. It might be in this event linked, I didn't click on it yet since I am on phone now and I get too worried my text will disappear.

I have now taken a look at the link!
I have Sugardew Island. It's a small and cozy game but not super captivating. I am in love with Lous Lagoon so far from the demo! Colorful, you get to fly a bit. And the best part is... I have already won it 🤭 I will get the game key on release day.
Wylde Flowers is such a good game, I actually bought it for a second system (my first copy was sponsored). It's also quite small, but the voice acting is lovely and discovering the magical secrets of the village is great. Overall a really wholesome story.

@Telomina I only got it yesterday, so I am at level 3 for now. Surfaces are good, the models so far were a bit different in the sense that my caravan has cupboards near the ceiling throughout. When I was at level 2, I remember thinking, "You got all that space above the bed and you're not using it for cupboards? Why?" Though I get how some like big windows like that, but still...

As far as decorating, I just go for blue colour for now, just because I like it.

Chances are you will get through a big chunk of Camper Van before Outbound. I don't think they announced a release date yet. S,o unless they pull "Lies of P" and do a surprise release drop, we should get a bit of a heads up 😉

I try to make my links so that they'd open another window without closing the one you're at right now, but you can never be too careful 😅

I remember you mentioning Sugardew Island before! Though of all these, Wylde Flowers caught my interest most, I like it when sim games have a magic component to them, maybe I will give it a try when it goes on sale sometime. Currently, it is a bit over my budget. But Ovrwhelmingly Positive and that it is from 2022 so should be polished up by now is promising. Just need to wait till I can save some.

What about My Time at Evershine? I remember you're waiting for that. It is part of this fest too, though it has no news or announcement date yet, as far as I could see...
