    Hello Legion Gamers!

Last week was full of Game Fests and presentations, I am still catching up (more so as I was busy this weekend and could not watch any of them live 😅). Now that this is behind us, we're moving to the next thing: Steam Next Fest - June 2025 Edition:

This one is less about discounts and more about demos of the upcoming games, and has plenty of options to try the upcoming games for free. @GoLLuM13 and @Telomina, this may be something to look into. My only concern here, really, is that there are just so many options there and not enough time to really look through them, but that's me, I tend to spend a decent amount of time pondering if I should play some game or not. Demos are good, but it may take a bit of work to make sure you try the best ones for yourself.

Still, the timing is good: just after all those showcases with all the exciting upcoming games, it is exciting to be able to not just see, but try some of the upcoming games, too. Sure, most of them are not as big as what they showed us this weekend, but having the option is still nice. @DracoTarot, @SKYTRiXSHA, @ZaidH, @miskkie, @uptjackmalo and @tntiseverywere I'll tag you all in case you see something you want to try 😊

    See anything that you like?

Having co-streamed two of the events I feel like I have a pretty good idea of what I want to play. But because its demos and Im not sure if the gameplay will go over I'm gonna wait with most of them. I think the demo I will try is Dragon Shelter.

@Telomina Oh, what did you co-stream besides Wholesome Games?

That is a thing about demos, you're right. I do not really play them myself, mostly because I like games when they are fully out in "all-included" editions, and demos and Early Access are, well, the opposite of that. It is still interesting to browse what's out there and coming, though.

Dragon Shelter looks nice, I hope it will have an original take on the genre, though. Often, farming sims are quite alike, gameplay and mechanics-wise. Which is not a bad thing, of course, this is why gamers like them, but it is always nice when games find their distinct vibe that sets them apart from the rest in the genre. Let's hope that "Here be dragons" does that for this game 🐲

    That is indeed a concern 😂 😂

I also co-streamed PC Gaming Fest. And in my discord we watched two I wasn't officially co-streaming as well.

I just really like the art direction with Dragon Shelter.

But one of one games presented is already out and I got a sponsored copy: Camper Van: Make it Home. It's a really lovely organizing game that helped put me on the track for straightening up my organizing at home. I did a huge round 2 years ago, but I havent maintained it perfectly. So it was time.

@GoLLuM13 True, but better that than being concerned about no demos and no discounts. I'd say our lot is not too bad 😁

@Telomina Oh nice, congratulations! I'll need to watch it, I am gradually making my way through them chronologically.

Ah, yes, the art is nice. I did not think about that element right away here, but now that you mentioned it, it does set it apart indeed. I need to be more mindful of art, I think that recently there were more artistically interesting projects than usual, and I am losing my touch in spotting artistic games right away. Though then again, art is subjective...

Oh yes, I've seen that one, good for you that you got a sponsored copy! I was interested in getting it soon, and my wish had similar roots, though more idea-based than brushing on my organization skills: I have a caravan, and I was hoping that playing the game would give me some interior design ideas for it. Curiously, this is the reason why I did not get it yet: all the images I saw are of camper vans (the ones you can drive) as opposed to caravans (the ones you tow behind your car). Though now that I know you have it, may I ask if those decor ideas in the game could be used in both or either?

And on that note, I spotted a game I thought you may like at one of the gaming shows last Friday: Tiny Shop: make it cozy:

It's set for release next year. If you like it, maybe you can try to get early access for it too when the time comes 😊

I definitely think it will give you some ideas for a caravan. I kept doing parallels to the caravan trip I did with my family at 14 when streaming that game.

I should take a look at that tiny shop game.

@Telomina Oh nice, then I will grab it. I did some alterations in my caravan, but more on the practical side, like changing curtains to light-blocking ones and making it so they stay closed with a magnet tape. I am sensitive to light when I sleep, so... It will be interesting to explore more aesthetic ideas. Thank you for your advice!

When I saw Tiny Shop, I thought it could be something you may like 😊
