@DracoTarot Maybe if you build yourself a gazebo surrounded by lavender bushes, it would be close enough?

@SKYTRiXSHA Now I want to look into how many species of mosquitoes Finland has and if they differ. Could be that it is a different kind of mosquito, but it could also be that difference in the environment and temperature is affecting their feeding behaviour. Will be interesting to check...

Ah, yes. I do not mind mosquitoes as much as I do ticks. Mosquitoes are mostly annoying, but ticks can be outright dangerous and it is so hard to remove them, up to a point where you may require a hospital visit...

@DoctorEldritch The best and most efficient way to get rid of them is temperature drops. That's why I'm looking forward to autumn and winter.

I always wanted a gazebo. Those with tile or wooden roof. We have one of those foldable ones made out of material. It sucks! 😂

@DracoTarot That is the common way. One can only hope that mosquitoes never learn survival from cockroaches and adapt to live in all temperatures, that would be potentially disastrous 😅

Foldable ones are not too bad depending on what their goal is. If they're just there to provide a bit of sunshade, then they are more or less ok. But if you want something more relaxing and "grounding" and wholesome, then you need a permanent structure.

If you do end up building one someday, I'd say it may be a good idea to build one that has an integrated pizza oven or barbeque grill, which would increase its functionality. Unless you want it to focus on spiritual wellness only.

@DoctorEldritch Anything is possible these days and there's a good chance mozzies could adapt to survive and thrive in any type of weather and season.

Depends on what the scientists are up to behind the scenes and if mother nature has plans up her sleeve.

I mean in my 43 years I'm on this planet and the last 40 years living in the same neighborhood, we never had things like tornado's. Well, today I witnessed one and it caused some damage.

I want permanent structure and will definitely add a pizza oven and grill. We call a grill a braai or barbecue. 🙂

@DracoTarot Tat's a horror film scenario waiting to happen 😅

Well, scientifically speaking, a singular occurrence may not be representative of the trend, we'd need to wait a few years and monitor the weather to check if and how things are changing, or if the weather this year is more of a standalone anomaly.

So long as it has an open flame, you could burn some repelling herbs. That may help to keep the bloodthirsty fauna out.

such a bold move from epic that i think was very risky. steam is so big and powerful but wasn't able to make such move and thanks for the competition that allows the consumers to have more choices and better prices for games and even having free things.

@DoctorEldritch There' 's a sci-fi film from 1995 called Mosquito. An alien spacecraft crashes down in a U.S. national park. Amosquito sucks the blood of the craft's deceasedextraterrestrial pilot, causing the insect to mutate to an abnormally large size. While driving to a summer camp in the park, lovers Megan and Ray accidentally hit a mosquito. They get out of the vehicle, and Ray finds its severed proboscis in his car's radiator. Meanwhile, a park ranger named Hendricks is ordered by the park chief to spray gaseous mosquito repellent.

So maybe a singular occurrence could happen within another scenario. 😂

@iuiu Steam has its own thing with different festivals, they sometimes offer free demos. Not the same as free games, but sometimes you get to try out a relatively new or even not yet released game, there are gamers who find that important. But yeah, EGS is good with consistently offering free games, here are the ones from this week. Which is nice, but on a grand scale of things, 89 a year is really not that much. Still, every bit helps 😅
