@DoctorEldritch I need to get myself a Black Panther. Those Hadidas won't stand a chance. The smaller cats around here are afraid of them. 😂

Oh, I'm excited for GTA 6. The thing is will it be better to play on a PC or console? I guarantee GTA 6 will put many pics out there under stress the game won't run at all.

I think my PC is going to fall into that category.

@DracoTarot What you need is a Pink Panther, then maybe all birds will learn it and form a singing band instead of being a nuisance:

About GTA 6 I am honestly not sure. Graphics is one thing, but it may essentially be a personal preference. I'd stick to PC even if the console had better graphics, personally.

Same, I don't think mine would run it. It didn't run Pacific Drive all that well, so...

@DoctorEldritch My neighbours have Cockatiels and they are quite diverse in their vocabulary. Once in a while, they'll curse at the dogs and people passing by their house. It's so funny!

I had a typo and meant to say PC not pics LOL! The graphics also do not bother me as much. I will play on low settings if I have to. It's the rest of the features you can't disable making things difficult.

My PC struggles with most new releases.

@DracoTarot Why are people so keen to teach them to cures, I wonder... Many people do that, but teaching them to recite poetry or sing is much better, I think.

Ah, I get it now. Graphics...varies for me. I prefer to have them at least decent. Pacific Drive did not run smoothly for me with good graphics, and I could fix the performance by by turning most of them off, which resulted in all grass disappearing, so I opted to put this game off time I get a better machine rather than to play like that. But it varies from game to game.

@DoctorEldritch Many people do teach them to cure but not all. Sometimes the birds are in an immediate environment where people usually communicate with each other and the birds learn by conversation. People tend to curse a lot and the birds do pick up and learn the words without the owners realizing it.

Matter of fact some birds like an African Grey whose cage is near a television or radio will learn words much quicker and unfortunately, most of the entertainment on the telly contains curse words and inappropriate sayings.

I hate it when I have to lower the graphics settings the landscape loses some of the detail and the characters start looking like anime characters. It takes the fun out of the game.

Detail is everything and can make missions difficult because certain things do not appear in the game.

Hmm, I thought it was more because talking parrots is a traditional pirate attribute, and pirates famously curse in a specific manner. I thought it was more of a homage to that with cursing.

Ah well, the golden age of television (and generally) has passed as far as standards of speech are concerned. But we made some progress in other areas instead, we're no longer naming cigarettes on air:

Or smoke in the studio at all, come to think of it.

It depends, in some games I can live with lower graphics, but in some, I'd rather wait. Pacific Drive in particular was one of those where nature and effect play a role, so...
