Hello friends of the Gaming Legion community.

We continue the series of topics about the game Genshin Impact, which is an RPG with a notion of Gacha. In this game, to have limited 5-star characters, we use a kind of in-game currency (which we can have by farming or by taking out the CC, as is often the case these days). Except that it's all well and good to have a limited character, but you have to build it well!! This is where I come in (or will try anyway) with my guides.

And this time, we will talk about the pyro archon, Mavuika.

Extra Info / simplifying :

• Mavuika is a versatile character that can be played both on-field and off-field, although the latter is considered a waste of her full potential, so I focus more on the on-field aspect.
• Mavuika does not need Energy Recharge, for the simple reason that she relies on a new mechanic to recharge her burst attack, and this either with the Nightsoul attacks specific to Natlanian characters, or with normal attacks (any character).
• Those who do not have Xilonen can use (temporarily) Kachina, which will not buff as much, but will still be an "acceptable" alternative.
• For stats with two values, the lower one is the bare minimum and you should preferably aim for the higher of the two.
• Exploration with Mavuika is exquisite, since she can fly, surf, climb and of course ride her dragon bike.
• For those who want to invest in their Mavuika and are hesitating between the C1 constellation or the signature weapon, take a Citlali instead which is just the best investment for your Mavuika (and which is currently in banner with her), especially if you don't have Xilonen in your box. If, for some reason, Citlali is not available, favor her signature weapon.

Conclusion

• The recommendations I give you are just that, recommendations, you can accompany your character with others characters you want, give them the sets with the stats that suit you, as long as it gives you pleasure and fun. And most importantly, remember, if you spend money in this game, spend it responsibly, it's not worth going broke for a character.

@GoLLuM13 Do many of the characters sing there? I tried looking it up but sheer volume deterred me. I imagine there would be at least a few and, if so, they could maybe form a band. If there is ever an anime adaptation.

@GoLLuM13 That's a good enough ratio, I'd say. On a semi-related note, I read this weekend that there was some sort of court settlement in US court about Genshin Impact, something about selling loot boxes to kids. That was a bit surprising that it got so big it made it all the way to court...

@DoctorEldritch Funny that they do this to Genshin (MiHoyo a Chinese company) and not to EA FC Sports (EA a US company) or to Rainbow Six Siege (Ubisoft a French company) while I don't like lootboxes (even in Genshin) I have to admit that this court thing is ridiculous, it is the result of bad parenting, it's up to parents to check up on their kids and what they're doing, it's up to the adults to not grant access to their credit card to a kid 😅

@GoLLuM13 Bad parenting may be true, but I would say that I am personally very against introducing the gambling element in games. I do not like loot boxes either, but the worst thing about them for me is not that they are there, but that they are random, so buying one is a bit akin to putting a coin into a slot machine. That's a bit too close to actual gambling. We do not allow kids to gamble until they are adults, so we should not put such elements in games. Microtransactions are bad as they are, but with that added on top it becomes a bigger issue.

@DoctorEldritch I also am against, but I don't see it as "gambling" per se, the rules are pretty clear, and you are sure to win, you can play roulette or poker for a whole year and never win, but on these gacha games you know that at max 90 wishes you WILL have a 5 star character (limited or from the standard banner), and if you have a standard character, you know that your next 5 star WILL BE the limited 5 star character on the banner, which means maximum of 180 wishes you have the character, so if you know the worst case scenario, you can put a price on the character and can know when you'll have it, while again on more "traditional" loot boxes you might never have the character or object you want and this for year
