The scariest experience I had was when I rented an apartment near my workplace. Upon entering the apartment for the first time, I felt something was a bit off. The landlord was also not very forthcoming and avoided some of my questions. I didn't think much of it then and thought he was in a hurry. It was actually the opposite and he knew much more about the apartment.

A few days went by in the apartment with no incidents until I started waking up in the middle of the night and there it was for the first time. A menacing presence that I could feel and then see when I opened my eyes. I had some sleep paralysis before and thought I was having another episode. I realized something was not okay because I hadn't seen shadow figures during sleep paralysis. I felt scared and was unable to talk or get out of bed. It's like I was paralyzed or being held down by the evil presence.

The shadow figure only appeared at certain times of the month and the door kept opening by itself on a daily basis.

It continued happening a few times until I got fed up with the idea of being pestered when I needed some well-deserved rest. I needed to move.

The landlord eventually told me there was a suicide in the apartment but he didn't know the full story as it was before his time.

I stayed on for another two months and left.

It was night, and very dark. We crept into the house through the back door and began to explore it. The house was completely deserted, and there was no one inside. We were walking down the hallway when we heard a voice.

The sound was like someone's footsteps. We looked at each other, feeling afraid. We were alone in the house, and we didn't know what was happening.

We continued to listen to the sound. He was walking towards us. We were standing there, unable to move.

    Then we saw it.

It was a woman wearing a long white dress. She was walking down the hallway towards us. Her face was pale, and her eyes were empty.

I screamed and ran. My friends did the same thing. We were running at full speed and not looking back.

We got out of the house and ran away. We didn't look back until we got to our car.

I still don't know what I saw that evening. Maybe it was just my imagination, but I think I saw a ghost.

These things are always like seeing ghosts. It is nothing but an illusion, or I am trying to convince myself that I see it, but in reality it does not appear to anyone, but when you want it to appear with your concentration, it will appear.

I stood there, watching as my future father-in-law held his precious daughter’s hand as he walked down the aisle. Tears in his eyes as the wedding march played in the background, reminding him that, in a matter of minutes, he would be witnessing me hold his daughter’s hand and slip a ring on her finger. He reached the altar, and I finally held her hand, grinning from ear to ear. I’d never been this happy before.

My bride’s father then got down on his knees and started begging. “I did what you asked. Just please, please give my daughter back to me.” I glared at him. He was ruining this beautiful moment. “Shut up. If you sit down and enjoy the wedding, maybe I’ll tell you where I’ve hidden the rest of her body.”

It was early in the morning, 4am to be exact. The streets were deserted as I made my way to church. I was a regular at the early morning mass, and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the early hours.

As I walked through the plaza on my way to the church, I saw a shadow pass by me out of the corner of my eye. I stopped and looked around, but there was no one there. It was just me and the empty plaza.

I brushed it off as my imagination and continued on my way. But as I walked, I couldn't help but feel uneasy. The shadow had seemed so real, and I had felt a cold chill run down my spine when I saw it.

I hurried up my pace and reached the church without further incident. I went inside and sat down in a pew, trying to calm my racing heart.

As I walked home, I thought about the shadow I had seen. Was it my imagination? Or had I seen something real? I didn't know, but I knew one thing for sure: I wouldn't be walking through the plaza alone early in the morning again anytime soon.

It was an afternoon, and my family and I were having snacks when we started talking about my late grandma. They said that she had a pet that we couldn't see, but they could hear noises every night. When she passed away, the noises stopped.
That night, around midnight, I woke up to an unusual sound on our roof. It was like something was calling me, and I felt like it was looking at me. But it was too dark to see anything. I just pulled my blanket over my head and waited for the sound to stop.
The next morning, I told my mom about it, but she said that she and my dad had never heard anything. She told me to never talk about it again.
I didn't know what to believe, but I knew that I had heard something. I also knew that my mom was scared, so I didn't talk about it again.
    But I never forgot it.
Years later, I was talking to my aunt about my grandma, and she told me that she had heard the same noises on the roof when she was a little girl. She said that she thought it was a ghost, but my grandma had always told her that it was just a friendly spirit.
I don't know if I believe in ghosts or not, but I do believe that my grandma loved her pet very much, even if it was one that we couldn't see.
