Hello everyone,
I bought a Legion 5 15IRX10 about three weeks ago, and I've been experiencing a strange and consistent FPS drop while gaming.
My unit has 24GB of RAM and an RTX 4060 6GB GPU.
Here’s what’s happening:
When I start any game (e.g., Dota 2), everything runs smoothly for the first 5–10 minutes. Then, the FPS suddenly drops and stays low.
Here's the data I gathered using the NVIDIA overlay while playing Dota 2:
During normal performance:

  • FPS: ~140–200
  • GPU Clock: ~2175 MHz
  • GPU Temp: ~81°C
  • GPU Voltage: ~0.88V
  • VRAM Clock: ~11001 MHz
  • GPU Power: ~53W
During FPS drop:

  • FPS: ~40–70
  • GPU Clock: ~877 MHz
  • GPU Temp: ~72°C
  • GPU Voltage: ~0.69V
  • VRAM Clock: ~9001 MHz
  • GPU Power: ~24W
I’ve tried:

  • Switching between Hybrid and dGPU mode in Lenovo Vantage
  • Setting NVIDIA Control Panel to “High Performance”
  • Updating drivers (including rolling back to previous versions)
Nothing has fixed the issue.
Strangely, when I ran a FurMark stress test for over an hour, the GPU maintained stable performance with no FPS drops at all.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?
