Wires And Whiskers, a charming and fast-paced co-op adventure reminiscent of It Takes Two, launched on July 31, 2025. This is not a temporary promotion; once you add it to your library, it’s yours to keep permanently. The release generated quite a buzz, especially among players looking for short, quality co-op experiences without a price tag.

The game is designed exclusively for two-player cooperative play, either locally or through Steam’s Remote Play Together. One player takes the role of an agile gerbil, specializing in melee attacks and quick movement, while the other pilots a magnetic exosuit equipped for ranged combat and object manipulation using magnetic forces. This setup creates a dynamic gameplay experience where both players must constantly coordinate to overcome puzzles, enemies, and environmental hazards.

With an estimated runtime of about 20–30 minutes, Wires And Whiskers delivers a condensed but highly engaging adventure. Its levels are packed with colorful environments, light puzzle-solving, and bursts of action that encourage replayability. Despite its short length, the game has earned a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with over 90% of user reviews praising its charm, controls, and co-op mechanics.

It reminds me of It Takes Two, though of course it’s an indie, so there are some differences.

Reviews are very positive, so if you’re looking for a quick co-op adventure, you should definitely check it out.

Speaking of, I wanted to add the Steam link for this game, just for convenience.
@Inyeon it looks good, though games that are designed from the start to be a co-op experience always seemed a bit risky to me, it can be tricky to find someone into a game like that (as opposed to more traditional MMOs) to play with and align schedules. By this I mean, CS2, Fortnite or Warcraft you can play with a group of friends whenever (except for timed events), and there ius usually little actual narrative advancement, but in games like this, there is actual plot you need to follow, so you need to play it fast or regularly, and that can be more challenging.

Then again, kudos to developers who decide to make games like this regardless, and manage to make them captivating enough that gamers overcome those logistical hurdles 😅
