    Hello Legion Gamers!

    A quick question: one of the members said that, while playing Counter Strike 2, the laptop gives out 100-110 frames on the lowest settings, and is asking if maybe something needs to be changed in global settings, as his Windows is also loading to 50%. Here are the specs:

    AMD rayzen 5 7235HS
    GPU rtx 3050 6 gb laptop gpu
    OZU 24 gb

    Sadly, I am not tech-savvy enough to be of use 😅 Maybe anyone knows what could be the issue here? @Lascax or @Kaywen or @GoLLuM13 ?

    @DoctorEldritch What do you mean by 50%? What's the precise wording it is referring to or the measurement you're talking about? Task Manager CPU or GPU Load, maybe?
    My first step would be to identify what setting you're using in the Lenovo Vantage app ( or equivalent ): is it on Performance? What's the Mode you're using for the GPU ( Hybrid, dGPU, iGPU... )?

    @Lascax Thank you, I will forward your questions to the poster!

    As for precise wording, it is a bit tricky as the original post is not in English, I will try to clarify what that means.

    @DoctorEldritch Hi!

    I'm also quite confused about your question. It's unclear what "Windows at 50%" means.

    Counter Strike 2 is a fairly old game, but it has been updated over time and uses DirectX 11.

    On average, at 1080p low settings, it should generate around 150fps with those hardware specifications.

    However, its processor is a 4c/8t, and if that "50%" refers to the CPU load always being stuck at 50% in Task Manager, it's clearly experiencing a CPU bottleneck, because it means the game is using all the physical cores and not the "virtual" ones.

    Without knowing more, it's difficult to help you. However, some suggestions might be:

    1. Set the "performance" mode in the power saving section.
    2. Set only the discrete GPU to active.
    3. Remove all unnecessary applications from startup to maintain a leaner system.
    4. Check CPU and GPU temperatures during gaming sessions to determine if the system needs a cleanup and perhaps even a reapplying of thermal paste. It's summer, it's hot, and high temperatures are the historic enemy of FPS games...
