@DoctorEldritch When a lottery pays out 3 to 5 times in a month and people who play through banking app all information is verified but it doesn't seem right to have so many at one time. Our lottery does not go as high as other countries and it really feels like the winners are randomly picked.

The lotto draw isn't a live event so anything is possible.

Finding both is a mission. A rabbits foot is not something I would carry around "poor thing". 😶

@DracoTarot Ah well, I mostly know about the effects of lotteries like this from documentaries; they do not paint a good picture.

Not sure how people carried those around, but interestingly, it is supposedly an amulet that is said to bring luck in many places of the world, unusually widespread in how similar its effect is described accross different cultures. So there may be something in it.

Something more logistically possible for you would probably be hanging a horseshoe over your door: you do not need to carry that around.

@DoctorEldritch They do not paint a good picture indeed.

I'll stick with my old Norse amulets and trinkets. I do have a horseshoe hanging above my front door keeping evil entities at bay and a squirt gun full of holy water for those unexpected events that may occur. 😂

@DracoTarot Why Norse, do they have a better success rate than, for example, African or Japanese?

Squirt gun full of holy water is an interesting choice, I thought the most efficient delivery system there was the grenade:

@DoctorEldritch I prefer Norse amulets because they are more interesting and have been interested in Norse mythology for a while. I guess other amulets can also work and could be more powerful.

A grenade will work well for in a enclosed area but it would cause too much damage when used in a shelter or sanctuary. Holy water is a much cleaner and safer method. 😂

@DracoTarot Makes sense, though I thought that it may have been because Norse symbols may be more common in the metal genre, comparatively speaking. RIP Ozzy Osbourne.

That's a Holy Hand Grenade, a special weapon from Fallout New Vegas. And true, it has quite a wide blast, so much so that if you take a perk that increases the radius of explosives 😅

@DoctorEldritch I overall like the symbolism behind it and not only because it's linked to metal music. There's one band who uses many Morse symbols within their videos. The band's called Amon Amaranth.

A sad day indeed. The Prince of Darkness is no more. I knew when Sharon Osbourne announced a farewell concert must be held as soon as possible and I knew somethings up.

Ozzy wanted to say goodbye to his fans in his hometown. His whole demeanour gave a indication he's tired and wants to rest.

When he sang Momma I'm coming home Ozzy pointed to the sky and said mom I'm coming.

Wasn't the Holy granade also called "meet your maker" or am I thinking of a different game. 😆

@DracoTarot Makes me wonder how many people can still read Morse these days...

I read that Ozzy mentioned that it would be his last live concert, but he would continue to record, it was 17 days before. End of an era.

I am not sure, "meet your maker" I can't recall. Probably not Fallout, though.

@DoctorEldritch I wondered about it myself. Morse code seems to have died out. Maybe Morse code is used within secret societies and the military.

Yeah he did say that. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way. I've read Ozzy mentioned to his family on Monday night he needs to let go and thanked everyone for being there. Then he passed.

I remembered afterwards where "meet your maker" comes from. Serious Sam said it when using grenade weapons. 🙂

@DracoTarot Well, it was not popular among the general public at any stage, it was mostly a specialist way of communication. Not sure if it is still used in those areas like ship sailing or military, though.

At least he had a proper goodbye with everyone, many do not get to have that.

Ah, I haven't played Serious Sam, but it does sound like something he'd say 😅
