    Hello Legion Gamers!

The beginning of Summer is traditionally a time for gaming news, with many gaming events taking place. So for convenience, I thought it'd be good to collect them all in one place. So here goes:

It will start with a State of Play presentation by Sony, which will take place on the 5th/6th of June, depending on where you are. Not that many news, but we'll likely see something about he upcoming Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei. Here is a channel to stay tuned:

UPDATE: Thank you @Telomina for sharing the Wholesome Games on the 7th of June, that one slipped under my radar. And it is a good one, showcasing some light and cosy games with good vibes. For a live of that, here:

Then, June 6th/7th comes the Summer Game Fest. Here is a teaser:

A lot of things here. We'll probably see some Mafia: The Old Country and Borderlands 4, Dying Light: The Beast and Little Nightmares III. Capcom may show some Resident Evil, Sega is there so likely Sonic will be too, and Square Enix means we may see some Final Fantasy ( @GoLLuM13, you may be interested) and maybe even Kingdom Hearts 4. If any of those interest you, then...

UPDATE: IO Interactive is preparing their own show and will share something about Hitman, First Light and MindsEye. It will happen on the 7th of June:

Then, also on the 7th of June, Devolver Digital will take place. What is interesting about it this time is, they seem to focus on one game this time around:

We'll see how it goes! Then the same day, 7th of June evening, the Future Games Show will arrive. Hosted by Laura Bailey and Matthew Mercer, it will show us Mafia: The Old Country, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020, EVE Frontier, Hell is Us, and Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. And those are just the ones seen in the teaser trailer, there are sure to be more. If it sounds interesting, then here:

Next in line is the Xbox Games Showcase on the evening of the 8th of June. They will show some new games from their studios and partners, but perhaps the most exciting part will be at the end when Obsidian Entertainment will present The Outer Worlds 2 Direct. We'll finally see the upcoming sequel more closely. Here is a live for that:

And finally, also the evening of the 8th of June, but after the Xbox Games Showcase, the PC Gaming Show 2025 will wrap it up:

Over 50 games and studios like Ubisoft, Failbetter Games and Astra Logical, among others. Live for all this here:

And there you have it, all summed up! @miskkie, @tntiseverywere , @uptjackmalo, @SKYTRiXSHA, @Telomina, @ZaidH, @DracoTarot, @Cysero, @thelongawaited and @LarsJacobsen, I'll tag you all here so you'll have all the hanels in one place in case you want to watch some of them 😊 See anything exciting?

Thank you, I was actually invited to be an official co-streamer for three of them, but decided to go with Wholesome Direct and PC Gaming Showcase to not overdo it 😅

It is always healthy to have a good balance, and it is still exciting that you were invited to half of them! 😊

Thank you for bringing that up, to my shame, I missed this one. I added it to the main post now, and put the video link below too:

Are you allowed to share a bit about who is going to be there? I could only find a teaser trailer from last year...

@GoLLuM13 I know Sega and Capcom, but I have not heard of Kuro Games before now. I looked into it, and it reminded me of Genshin Impact, is that right?

    The music is soothing...

@DoctorEldritch Kuro Games is the one behind Wuthering Waves 😁 and in june (around the 12th) there's a new patch (2.4), with a new map and a new character coming 😁

@miskkie Indeed, the beginning of June is traditionally a plentiful time for that.

Though, personally, I am more excited about new game releases rather than news about them 😅

@GoLLuM13 How does Wuthering Waves compare to Genshin Impact?

So the State of Play is past us, some interesting games there. @GoLLuM13 what do you think about Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles? Blast from the past? Not to mention the Mortal Kombat Kollection 😉

Ghost of Yōtei was good to see, even if it's just a teaser for more next month. @AmrAli1wrote about 007: First Light, that was certainly exciting. And then there is MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, after Marvel Rivals' success, those heroes seem to be quite popular...

I was happy to see Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement. I still need to get through the earlier games. I started, but then they released a sort-of-remake-but-not-really game and I got confused if and how it is different, and sort of bumped it down the list, but I am planning to get around to it eventually, and it's nice to see that the series is getting new games.

Let's see what the next showcases bring!
