@DracoTarot That'd be nice, then you'd be a candyman. You could mix their fudge with love and make the world taste good 😉

Ah, now I've got a better idea in terms of quantity. How much sugar is needed to make a batch?

@DoctorEldritch I always wanted a little shop of my own and will enjoy running it.

Being the Candymam I'm not sure of. There's only one and I wouldn't rely on people to call my name five times in a mirror before a delivery. 😂 . I'm referring to the movie.

A lot of sugar is needed and I mean a lot. The last batch we used twelve 10 kg bags. So approximately 120 kg's worth. It's not only fudge. There's peanut brittle, candy clusters and chocolate brownies extra.

Making one batch of fudge uses around 5kg of sugar.

@DracoTarot You could always play a simulator game about running a shop 😉 If you're after candy in particular, this one is coming out soon:

And you can get a demo if you like. This may be a test run for you 😊

Speaking of movies of that theme, have you perchance watched the Gary and His Demons animated series? I think you may enjoy it if you haven't.

Oh my, that is a lot of sugar. What type of sugar are you using?

@DoctorEldritch🤣. I will try it out. My mum still plays Candy Crush saga on her phone and sometimes I also try out a few rounds.

No I haven't. Never heard of Gary and his Demons. I will check it out.

Plain white sugar. Sometimes depending on the type of sweets they use Castor sugar.

@DracoTarot I actually never tried Candy Crush. "3 in a row" is...I have nothing against it, but it needs a good story, I guess, just routinely matching them with no plot gets boring. If you like 3-in-row, maybe take a look at

Ah, well, Gary and his Demons is a more budget one, the animation is deliberately clunky as an artistic choice, and it is adult for violence and swearing, but thematically, I think you will enjoy it. Bojack and T&B are both good but they deal with heavy subjects as well as entertaining, and they are good at that, whilst GahD is more comedy.

I meant it more in a sense of whether it is a cane sugar, or beet sugar, or maybe coconut?

@DoctorEldritch Candy Crush is ome of those games to pass time especially when stuck somewhere waiting for someone or something.

I'll make a point to try them all out. Maybe this weekend will be less demanding. 🙂

Cane sugar mostly. I don't think they ever used other types of sugar. Maybe honey.

@DracoTarot Ah, that is true. For times like that, I would normally read a book instead. But on a bus, I get motion sickness when reading, so I guess it may be useful during times like that.

All of them at once may be a bit of an overload 🤯 Maybe pick one that looks best to you. And, they all have different lengths. GatD would be the shortest both in duration of episodes and seasons, while Bojack would be the longest.

Cane sugar is good. White or brown? 🤔

@DoctorEldritch I'm not much of a book reader. I can't sit still for long periods of time and I easily get bored.

It happens to me too. Motion sickness is not fun.

That's what I will do. I won't have time to tackle all of them at once.

Mostly white. Brown sugar tends to burn easily when stirring the pot and the fudge seem to be more brittle afterwards making it much more difficult to the blocks in plastic baggies.

@DracoTarot Maybe you haven't found a genre you'd like yet? For you, I imagined something like Allan Poe, he has some short stories, possibly short enough not to get bored. Like The Masque of the Red Death.

I usually only get motion sickness in cars if I try to read in them, but I would more often get it on ships, unless they are very big. It is quite a hassle for me to travel by sea.

That makes sense, though some enjoy that little hint of burn, like caramel, but not quite there. But brttleness is an issue, you're right.

@DoctorEldritch I'm more of a audio book person. I find it more convenient when I have to multitask and when I can't sit still. I do have a range of Poe's books and audio books.

I am not keen on traveling because of my migraine attacks. Apart from the motion sickness, the headaches makes it way worse. I also have a fear of being on water and in enclosed areas.

The brittle part is a hassle especially with transportation. I think the elderly couple had some packs ending up unpresentable in the past.
