@DracoTarot That can indeed be frustrating. Maybe knitting simpler things and patterns would make it easier for her?

Who knows? Strings have often been attributed mystical properties with legends aplenty about strings of destiny, deities that cut or weave strings, and the like. Likho game also touches on that. So Tarot made using strings may have higher prediction accuracy 🤔

Makes sense. Though for me, eyepatches are more associated with Number Two from Austin Powers:

Hopefully, as the medicine advances, so too will rise the probability of success to the point where you'd be comfortable with it.

@DoctorEldritch My mum is busy with some doily's and table cloths. They are a bit easier to knit. Winter is almost to an end here and sleeping socks do not sell really.

Maybe 🤔. You may have a point. Gold and silver woven items fall in those categories. Using elemental strings may hold some sort of power. The issue is it will be a expensive hobby.

I would rather skip the whole idea of permanently walking around with a eye patch. If I have no choice I guess I would have to live with it but if it's because of a flawed procedure I will not be a happy fellow.

I'm holding on for now and will vsee what the future holds. Technology is advancing at a rapid pace. Maybe something awesome comes along to correct what is wrong with me.

@DracoTarot To be fair, I could never sleep in socks, I don't think I'd buy them for sleeping even in winter. But I would get some for just walking around during winter instead. But doilies and tablecloths are nice all year round 😊

Maybe try it with regular strings first before investing in gold or silver 😄 One could also consider the animal that gave wool for string, some animals may be more mystic than others. I mean, sheepies 🐑 appear in more fairytales and legends compared to, say, llamas. I think 🤔

That's just as well. That's not a look that just anyone can pull off:

If you're not one of those, then best to avoid it.

One can hope. Personally, I am dreaming of a painless and fast way to restore teeth without all that drilling, but any and all advancements in medicine are welcome developments. Cyberpunk 2077's future with replaceable limbs and organs can't come soon enough 😅

@DoctorEldritch My feet needs to be covered in winter and sometimes I wear two pairs of socks when it's cold. Summertime it's a different story. I do not like flipflops or sandals. I can't stand them and would rather walk barefoot. I don't like to show of my *niknacks" to everyone. 😂

I have a lot of ordinary string lying around and will definitely use them first. Imagine how expensive gold and silver string would be. 😨

I'd rather stick with your advice and buy a few sheep and sheer them for the wool and make string.

    I'll avoid it altogether. 😂

Dentist are the worst. I think it's not always the pain factor and more psychological. Those utensils used by the dentist are creepy from the get go and some dentist offices look like a torture chamber. Well, when your imagination runs away with you it does. 😂🤣. Swwwwweeeee, swwwwweeeee of the drill bits. Cracling sounds from the suction pipes and don't forget the mask filled with laughing gas which robs you from consciousness. 😂

Reminds me of the movie Dr Giggles. Have you watched it before?

I don't think it's far off. Cyberpunk will soon become reality. I mean some of the things are already in existence. Limbs can already be replaced. They transplanted another persons arm to another person who had an accident. Till this day the arm wasn't rejected by the recipient's body. Bionic arms are a reality too.

@DracoTarot I used to be very scared of dentists but I think it depends on how they treat you, for many years now I have had the same lady dentist who is very gentle and caring and understanding and I have to say I actually enjoy getting my teeth fixed, I just feel relaxed on the dentist chair after getting the anesthesia of course 😂

@Aaricia I've worked at a medical practitioner for a few years and the med village had some Dr's and Dentist who seemed a bit rough around the edges.

I hand-picked only two out of the whole lot who I trusted and still go to till this day. Both are very kind and considerate towards patients. They'll even help people in need who struggles with payments and do some procedures for free.

Like you say, it's all about how they treat you.

Yeah, the Dexamethasone and Dormicum does the job 🙂. It helps with the anxiety and stress. Getting teeth fixed can be a uncomfortable experience.

@DracoTarot that's great that you managed to find such people, it's great when we can feel safe and in good hands when it comes to any kind of doctors 🙏

@Aaricia It's all about the first rule every medical practitioner must adhere to. It's to help someone in need no matter the circumstances they find themselves in. Unfortunately some of them only became practitioners for the sole purpose of becoming wealthy. Pay first and then help is offered.

The practitioners I know will sometimes help free of charge especially if someone is not financially stable or arrange decent payment plans with free follow up's

They are awesome human beings. 🙂

@DracoTarot I agree, and I've met with doctors who didn't care the slightest about my issues but just wanted to "get it over with", the more I appreciate those who genuinely want to help 🙏

@Aaricia It's so disappointing to see those types of people out there especially professionals. 😐
