The recently released game, Assassin's Creed Shadows, launched today, March 20, 2025, has ignited a significant controversy in Japan due to scenes depicting the character "Yasuke," an African samurai, damaging shrines. The issue has escalated to parliamentary discussions and statements from the Prime Minister, who emphasized the rejection of disrespect towards Japanese culture. Concerned authorities are monitoring the situation, fearing potential attacks on shrines across the country.

This incident raises critical questions about the responsibility of game developers in portraying diverse cultures. The future of the game in Japan remains uncertain.Call to the Community:What are your thoughts on this matter? Share your opinions in the comments

As a gamer, I don't understand why you would play this game. The entire point of this series is to experience a different time and culture, but this game is clearly made by people who don't respect history, but just care about modern politics.
