@Telomina Is there a minimum requirement for participation, can even new content creators who are just starting up join in? Or is there something like a threshold, for example, you need 1K subscribers or more to take part or something like that?

That's fair. If that's the case, then what say you about this?

They recently teased it, it has a Steam page now and Early Access should arrive sometime this year. Maybe something to keep an eye on? 😉

Tbh Im not sure to use lurkit from scratch. You can use lurkit as a key request platform. I don't think there's any threshold. Their own program the LCP they manually check the applicants.

Oh yes, I am keeping my eye on that. Fun fact, I have made the only server emote they have in their discord for this game. It's my avatar hugging the Llama plush I won during their promotions for their previous game, Everdream Valley.

@Telomina It is good that you can use them without issues. I was just thinking, for those who are only thinking of becoming streamers, how soon can you apply for something like that. Could be useful for someone who wants to start streaming, maybe.

Custom-made emotes show dedication 😉 How did you make it?

How soon to access Lurkit? I think you can start at any time? Or maybe you need to be an affiliate. To become an affiliate you need to have avarage 3 viewers and a couple of streams within the past 30 days, as well as 50 followers on Twitch. So it normally doesn't take too long to reach it. For me it took 3 weeks back in 2017. I think Keymailer has affiliate as a base rule of thumb though. But often time the companies have set minimum of avarage viewers to give away gamekeys. On keymailer I got keys as a small streamer back in 2019 already.

I think it does indeed! I used my avatar (made my me), and the Alpaca plush I had won from them for reference, and drew up an emote from it, with the program clip studio paint.

Edit: I asked Lurkit in their discord and one of their staff members replied "
No our current requirements are 250 followers, account must be older than 90 days], and be gaming focused"

@Telomina Thank you for the info, though now I am not sure about the scale of it. 50 followers, I would think, is not too steep a climb to join when you're a streamer starting up. But 250 I am not sure, how fast can you usually get there these days, I wonder...

Ah, so it was all handmade, nice. I do not know studio paint, but maybe @CandelaSynth does 😊

@DoctorEldritch It is really varied, some people can stream for years and years and not reach 250, others might get it within mere weeks.

@Telomina That's fair... But still, you can see that the bar has risen somewhat. Maybe because there are probably more streamers now than before?

250 etc. is just for lurkit. The affiliate bar is the same as it's always been. But there are more streamers, but people with genuine high numbers aren't that many. I only avatage around 8-10 and I'm in the top 3% of streamers on Twitch.

@Telomina It is interesting, that the whole streamer and influencer industries evolved during our time, there were none when I was little. So we get to see how it changes and how lurkit and the like appear and change or not change their requirements, and more people get into streaming. Interesting times.Makes me reminisce about academic research...
