@DoctorEldritch Yeah, it's a mission and a half especially now with everything giving in like my, hearing, eyesight and ability to remember things. I'm too old to learn a new language. 😄

Logical or not, I do not have the patience anymore.

At least I have learned some of our spoken language here in SA and it helps to know what someone is saying about you or others. It's such a fulfilling experience when someone or a group of people are caught off guard when I communicate back to them.

They become very humble and apologetic afterwards.

These days I prefer in ear headphones. They also block out noises but I noticed I do not hear myself as much.

Shorter format is better depending on what type of series it is. Like you say, everyone's different. 🙂

Ah, I do not really do that. If I understand the language people around me speak, I usually just keep that to myself.

By "ear", do you mean the kind that goes inside our ear?

I guess. It could also be that I generally do not like longer series or games all that much, you need to invest too much time into those...

@DoctorEldritch Trying new things isn't the problem. Learning new things and remembering what I've learnt is an issue.

For the past two weeks I'm using my phone to respond to messages and communicate. That's why I take a while to respond and have so many grammar and spelling mistakes. I ate autocorrect and I'm struggling with fast typing on phones keyboard.

I'm used to a computer keyboard. Where I'm at I do not have my PC with me and while I'm trying to adapt it's hard to adjust. Apologies for my mistakes slipping though. 🙂

I can't always keep to myself. Sometimes things needs to be said especially if it's directly influences me and putting people in their place earns respect. It works well
in SA because of our multicultural environment. I do not respond in a rude way in anyway, I just make it clear to tone it down a bit. 🙂

Yeah, the ones going in our ear. I found them more comfortable and they do not make dent's on your cranium. 😂

@DracoTarot Here is a thought: why not learn about the process of learning? Like the Forgetting curve and such. This way, not only will you learn something new, but you will also become aware of challenges and issues that impede learning (and memory), and that way, you will be able to avoid some of them and learn more effectively.

Ah, using a phone may do that, yeah. No need to apologise for mistakes, everyone makes them. 😊 But since you have a smartphone, you could connect it to a keyboard:

I mainly use those that go around the ears myself. I like the surround sound more. Not sure about the effect on my cranium, though. I'd hope my thick skull will prove sufficiently sturdy to withstand that 😅

@DoctorEldritch My issue is I hold on to things that are not important in my life anymore and keep thinking about things I need to forget. It keeps me from remembering the important stuff in the here and now.

The keyboard-to-phone connection may work well. The issue is carrying around a keyboard the whole day to respond to messages. I think it would become a bit irritating after a while. 😂

So many new game releases and most of them look fun. I don't know where to start. 😂

Headphone dents are a real occurrence. 😂

Indeed, I am falling behind even more with all these new games, and need to be even more critical when deciding what to play. It is good that we have so many choices, but now there is just not enough time in a day...

Oh my, I wonder how long you need to use headphones to get that, and how strong they are. Is it a common issue, or maybe limited to a specific brand?

@DoctorEldritch Apologies for my late response. We've been without electricity for 3 days again. Cable theft caused a huge blackout in my area.

I'm starting to develop a lot of psychological issues and loosing my cool with all these stresses the past few weeks. I'm at the end of my rope. I just need to take a deep breath and focus.

Looks more like the Predators console on his arm LOL! If I would wear something like that, people will think I'm crazy 🤣. Ot could work I suppose. 🙂

I can't keep up anymore. My storage is running out. There are many games I have on my list and don't know when I'm going to have the chance to play them.

I dunno. Those people may have worn then many hours without taking them off. It could be a specific brand, not sure.

Well, when I worked at a call centre many years ago and used those normal digital phones with no headsets, I noticed my one ear got bigger than the other because of the handset.

The Predator movies are great but the last two wasn't as well done as the previous ones. The best Predator movies is still with Arnold as the main character.
