That’s so cool! You should take pride in the fact that work that actually matters has been entrusted to you right out of the gate 😁 Oh man, the Nordic work culture truly seems to be the best and should be adopted by countries that still have a Stone Age attitude toward work 😅

@ZaidH oh yeah, it is a really nice environment. Feels very wholesome. I haven't been in office settings in the work force before (only during my masters studies abroad where we had a study-office combo), but from what I have seen on TV, I prefer this, haha.

    Day 4- Thursday

There were many people in the discord working on various projects today. I
continued my project from the previous day, the MVP player cards for social media. The Metizport GD was there and helped me make it even better. He shared some
ideas, and I shared mine and we used a mix of both ideas for the final piece. I learnt a bit about their choices for different graphics rules as well. I am happy with the results and cannot wait to see these shared on social media. I made one for each
player so hoping they will all be the MVP one match at least.

I then had a meeting with the Lenovo CMM, where I got to learn more about how Lenovo is built up, and how they use PR companies, and I got an overview on how the process of projects work. It was interesting to hear how PR and marketing work in such a big company

@DoctorEldritch Koei Tecmo Affiliate Program 😇 But I won't be able to share anything else for now about it. But I am excited.

Ah, yes, the NDAs, that takes me back, I know the drill 😅 And rightly so, leak is one of the worst things that can happen to the game, thank you for keeping us safe from spoilers 😊

I think all games available in the steam next fest will run really well, but unless you go and join some creator programs, I fear you will have to wait. I, however, have a special build of 2 of the demos, so a bit future-testing will be done.

I don't mind waiting, I usually end up waiting regardless even after the game releases, with my fixation on GOTY editions and all 😅

    Day 5 - Friday

Today I started a bit later, and soon the first meeting was here. I had been invited to an extra meeting between the Legion CM and a few companies they work with, to see how planning for events goes. This was interesting. Then in the Metizport discord I took some time to ask questions about esport competition win revenue.

@DoctorEldritch Every time I hear about big game leaks my heart freeze. It makes social media a very risky place to hang out in. The main spoilers I try to avoid at the moment is for Assassin's Creed Shadows since somehow some people managed to get their hands on it already from some stores.

I am glad you are okay with waiting. I like to check games out a little bit, and then wait for patches. But when it starts to take over a year and they still push out new content, I normally have waited too long and my interest will have faded a bit. The most recent occassion was My Time at Sandrock. I still wait to feel like really getting into it again since I know it is a great game. I think I have 30h in it.

@Telomina I think in the case of AC Shadow, there was a leak. They even posted about it on social media, also asking people not to play it and not to spoil the game:

I am wary of spoilers as well, but I was never into social media, so I am more or less safe on that front, I hope.

Oh, I do not mind, I can wait for years. Interest may fade a bit, but it is one of the criteria: if the game is good enough to still create interest after a year or two, then it is worth playing for sure. My Time at Sandrock is good, but if they are still releasing content (and some games have been doing that for ages, like Klei with their Don't Starve or Oxygen Not Included, and don't get me started on Sims 4...), then maybe go back to My Time at Portia from the same studio? That one seems to be finished, and the two games are very similar. Or do you like the Wild West vibe? 😉

Either way, they will probably be wrapping up updates for Sandrock soon as they are starting to work on their next game in the series:

I like the character design in this one better, a bit less cartoonish.

@DoctorEldritch Oh, but I already have completed My Time at Portia 🤭 They did actually continue the support for that despite releasing My Time at Sandrock, so I think they will still release things.

I am really excited over My Time at Evershine as well! I really like how you can tell it's developed by the same studio, but they continue to develop the style into "their identity" (and funds too I assume).

Ah yes, I did see the warning for Assassin's Creed Shadows. I still get a 2 day early access myself, which I am really excited about!

@Telomina Ah, I see 😊 I know they supported it for a while, but I thought it was mostly cosmetics and quality of life, not content?

My Time at Evershine looks more promising to me than their previous games, I like the "more anime" style somewhat better. As for the funds, they are 1415% funded on Kickstarter, a testament to how much people want their new game and trust them to make a good one.

Are they planning any later Assassin's Creed Shadows DLCs? I know there is that one about some island, but it should be available on release, I think. In Mirage they opted not to have any DLCs, going back to the roots, in Shadows they seem to go back to the DLC formula, but I am not sure how many they have planned.

@DoctorEldritch oh, I see what you mean now. I know there was a big end game patch to MTAP after Sandrock released. But I hope Sandrock is pretty much finished now besides patches. I even have a deluxe edition somewhere (I might own it for 2 different consoles and almost bought the Ultimate edition with a physical plush a few times).

As for AC Shadows I have tried to not read up too much, I like it when I get a bit surprised. For my Valhalla had perhaps one too many DLCs, Mirage had a good standard but felt they might have taken it back a bit too much. What I am really excited for in Shadows it's the base building. It looks really good from what I have seen (which is what everyone else has seen to be clear).
