@GoLLuM13 This is so infuriating 😖 It’s only a matter of time before they shut down the PS4 emulation project too. God they’ve made so many anti-consumer moves this generation. I really hope they take Concord’s generational fumble to heart and bring in leadership that actually loves games—not just an MBA executive focused on squeezing money out of players.

@ZaidH I finished Dredge again a few weeks back, now that it had the Iron Rig DLC. It is a good game, though it does get a bit repetitive middle-to-end. Dave the Diver is awesome, and while it may get a bit repetitive too, it is colourful and vibrant and it keeps you going. Same for Drege, now that I think about it, but instead of colourful and vibrant it is darkly atmospheric and Lovecraftian.

Still goes to show that, to be a great success, the game does not need huge budgets and massive teams behind it: if the game has a soul and an idea, then even simplistic technical execution may help it soar.

Agreed 100%. I think I'll wait for the Dave the Diver DLC you mentioned before getting the game. On the topic of State of Play, it's worth noting that Shuhei Yoshida, the person who spearheaded PlayStation’s indie games division, recently retired. I was very fortunate to meet him when he visited KSA once, and my god, his passion for gaming was palpable. I worry that we may not see as many titles like Shinobi and other indie gems in future State of Play showcases 😓

@ZaidH Dave the Diver DLC should come out sometime this year, though it may not be the last one, I will need to keep an eye on that.

It is remarkable that you managed to meet Shuhei Yoshida and it is a shame indeed that he retired, but ultimately how bad it is comes down to who comes next, who knows, he may have left us in good hands. Slim chances, I'll admit, but maybe? We'll see what the future brings.
