@DracoTarot It is, but at least you're not alone with this issue and this quest. Indeed, this is one of the things our community is all about 😉

@DoctorEldritch One of my friends will test it out first and see if it's worthwhile. Then I may consider playing it.

@DracoTarot Those are good friends, ready to do things like this for you. Though it is no longer free, I hope your friends do not need to buy it to try it now... Maybe they will be up for trying free EGS games for you? Will need to be quick to grab them though. But it will not cost anything 😉

@DoctorEldritch They are very considerate and look out for me. My one friend is part of another community where he plays in leagues and sometimes he is rewarded with free game keys and points. If a game is not on sale anymore he can use the points to buy games on Steam and other platforms. So basically most of the time he does not pay for any.

We both decided last night to give Call of Duty Warzone another go and were so excited about the new Terminator skin pack and newly added features.

It ended up being a nightmare. We started downloading the new update which was around 12 gigs, and then all of a sudden after the update both our games were uninstalled without us giving any permission and then downloaded again. A whole 837 gigs of downloads came through and showed it would take about 3 days.

We were so mad about this and stopped the download. I don't know what is going on with Warzone but they need to be more considerate towards players. Not all gamers have massive amounts of data to spend on one game and line speeds which are out of this world.

My friend sent a message to them yesterday and up till now, he has been ignored. No response at all.

This is the third time now that Modern Warfare has uninstalled itself, completely deleting all files 837 GB of data I paid for and have downloaded multiple times and yet this program can delete my files without my permission or warning? WTH is going on here im sick of this. I have emailed both activation and battle.net with no reply.

All I know is we're done with Warzone.

@DracoTarot I am not sure how the point system works, what about if the game is on sale, do you then spend less points on it compared to when it is not, or it does not matter?

Call of Duty Warzone is 837 gigs? Seriously? 😱 That's so heavy... I feel for you. Maybe Call of Duty Warzone has something glitching or something? Or maybe updates make it so previous saves do not work anymore, and this is why it is doing this. I don't know.

You may be better off playing something else for now, I mean, if you want a coop FPS, there are other options out there.

@DoctorEldritch I have to ask my friend how it works. If I'm not mistaken I think the points can be converted into tokens and the tokens are almost the same as crypto and can be converted into currency. He mentioned something about being paid via PayPal and then he purchases games.

Something is definitely wrong and it's ridiculous to have such a massive download when you already downloaded the game before.

Why make a update available and when the update is finished the whole game library is deleted and players are forced to download the whole game from the start.

If we ask questions about it we are ignored.

We won't touch Warzone again that's for sure. There's other FPS available worth playing like you've said.

@DracoTarot That is an odd system, never heard about it being done quite like that...

Maybe the patch changed the game so much that it had to be downloaded again? Although, having a game that is that big is a feat in itself, none of the games that I played ever went over 200GB, I think, and even then those were special AAA cases, like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. I thought that the biggest size game these days was the DCS World with its half TB size, and Warzone was about the same as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. It really should not be 837 GB, I wonder why it is like that...

Anyway, if not Warzone, then what do you have your sights set on as a substitute?

@DoctorEldritch Me neither but it seems to work well. Maybe it's another future trend which will be adopted by gamers all over the world.

I've seen a lot of complaints about it. Not all gamers had the same experience. It seems to be region based. Some gamers do not any issues with the game.

The download size is really ridiculous. I know Warzone is online for a long time now and off course there where a lot of patches, fixes and so forth but deleting the game completely from your system af forcing everything on you woth a huge download does not sit well with me.

I also heard some of the fixes had bloadware. So it's a no from me.

We haven't decided yet. Actually we only had the weekend to enjoy some online gaming and now it's back to the usual grind.

Maybe this weekend we'll play some Counterstrike or Unreal Tournament.
