@DracoTarot At least as far as upgrades go, you got the monitor covered 😊

But it may not be as bad as all that, many good games these days use pixel style that is rather undemanding. Until Then comes to mind, or Dave the Diver. Or if you're after something more recent, Centrum will come out in a month:

When I saw it I thought that you may enjoy the style 😊

@DoctorEldritch The monitor is a real blessing and makes it so worthwhile playing games in stunning resolutions. The rest well, I'll upgrade depending on how the year goes and if lady luck shines on me. 🙂

True, there's many low end and undermining games I can enjoy. So it's not really a train smash.

I've seen the Centum trailer and yea I do enjoy the style.

I guess it's another game I will add to my library. 🙂

@DracoTarot Well, it is one of the beauties of a stationary setup that you get to tinker with it and upgrade it gradually, getting better gear over time.

Hmm, if Centrum is on your radar already, then how about something with a dash more animation classic: have you heard about Bad Cheese?

It is a bit of a bizarre mix of Hello Neighbour, Bendy and an homage parody of one famous cartoon rodent 😉 Not a mix for everyone, but maybe you'd find it curious.

@DoctorEldritch I guess having a stationary pc does have it's perks and upgrading parts here and there has it's advantages. The issue is my pc needs a complete overhaul. I'd rather save up for an upgrade kit.

The game does look a bit bizarre. The weirder the better. I will definitely play it.

@DracoTarot Well, flexibility aside, there is only so much you can upgrade before you need to change the core, I guess. It's been so long since I had a stationary PC...

I am a bit wary of this game myself, I do not mind creepy games, but the "chase" mechanic is not that enjoyable for me. But if you try it and like it, I may give it a go. Better to wait for some discount though 😊

@DoctorEldritch I would even settle for a handled if I'm not able to upgrade my pc. An upgrade kit will cost way more than a handheld.

I'll give feedback when I try it out. Bad Cheese may be a game my buddy would also enjoy. He will rate the game and then we can decide if it's worth it.

@DracoTarot It probably depends on what exactly you want to upgrade, and to what level. Maybe if you gradually upgrade your setup "bit by bit" rather than a lot at once with an upgrade kit, it would not cost as much?

It is good that you have someone who would enjoy trying it out, those games are a bit of a niche genre. Did your buddy try Bendy or Hello Neighbor too?

@DoctorEldritch I need to upgrade basically everything. 😑 My whole PC needs an overhaul. The issue in SA is that when you buy bit by bit, it costs more than an upgrade kit. An upgrade kit is usually an OEM product that does not include original packaging and, for some reason, costs less.

I don't think he tried them out yet. I mentioned Bendy to him and said he would go have a look.

@DracoTarot Ah well. I am due for an upgrade too, my PC is almost 8 years old. Still does not run too bad and I have plenty of older games in my backlog, but I can't run new big releases...

Bendy might be a bit dated now, but it is still an interesting game for the genre.

@DoctorEldritch It's a struggle LOL! The only new upgrade I got 3 years ago was a motherboard and second-hand graphics card. I'm a bit of an AMD fan and AMD is much cheaper than Intel.

My buddy skipped Bendy for now and said it looks boring. Oh well, it's not to say I will find the game boring as well.
