I was thinking of upgrading last year, and the closest to my ideal work/life balance pick would be Lenovo legion 7i. It had 3200x2000 panel, it was well-serviceable (upgradeable ram slots especially), had a well-felt keyboard, good build quality and decent form factor. The only problem was that it had an inefficient intel processor, and for my use cases, I needed battery life.

So I waited until CES 2025, hoping AMD variants will come. But I was quite disappointed not seeing these at CES 2025.

Will there be an AMD version of legion 7 this year? I saw release dates on legion 7i, and I see it would take a while before even Intel one hits the market. Can we expect AMD ones later then?

Rumor has it that Intel has more engineers that help the laptop makers, so it's much easier to make an Intel laptop. But I also hope for more AMD laptops.

As i know so far Lenovo continues to offer AMD options in other models, such as the Legion Pro 5 (16", Gen 10) with up to AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processors and the Legion 5 (15", Gen 10) featuring up to AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processors.
Its just a matter of time later this year and we hope they deliver really big on AMD!!
Those are the models that i heard of and i know that rn have AMD 😎
