    Hello everyone,

again, the topic today is the CES 2025 where of course they have announced the NVIDIA 50 series, I guess you have already seen something online, if not, you can see here the presentation made by the CEO.
Everyone is very impressed with the performances of the 50 series and also the "accessible" starting price of the entry level model, what do guys think about it?
Are you going to get one soon?

I probably won't get one, but they are amazing, that's true.

Though, take their claims with a grain of salt, and wait for independent reviews. Because the "RTX 5070 with same performance as an RTX 4090" is not entirely true.
They're comparing an RTX 5070 with DLSS4 against an RTX 4090 with DLSS3 or 3.5. And let's not forget that if we go on the 4K field, the 12GB of the RTX 5070 won't be enough compared to the 24GB of the RTX 4090
Those nuances will be clearer after some reviews, but right now we'll wait the end of the NDA 👀

Waiting to see more, and still want to see what AMD has to offer this time around too.

Nvidia cooked with 50 series, but performance is statistically higher with higher multifunctional core count rather than a dedicated navigation process, which may explain its price))

"Everyone is very impressed with the performances of the 50 series"

We don't know the actual performance yet, so everyone who is impressed, is just believing the marketing.

It seems most likely that we'l get a 20-30% price/performance improvement without factoring in the fake frames, which is not a particularly big improvement. And with the stagnating memory amount for everything but the 4090, I think that this generation will become obsolete relatively soon.

Hopefully the refresh will get more memory with the 3 TB VRAM modules.
