@DoctorEldritch I see what you mean with the core joke. Well, it's worth the watch and there is no harm adapting to the concept.

Nordic skiing sounds amazing. I will never have that pleasure and privilege. The entertainment side of things over the holidays when I refer to a laptop or PC will only be in the evenings. Playing a game or before bedtime when everyone also wants to do different things suits me well. During the day all the other activities you mention are a must.

You're right. I also do not think the foldable screens have the same quality as standard monitors. Well if it's not an option why do you not go for the new Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Gen 6? As the world's first rollable laptop, it's hard not to be impressed with this device. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6's 120Hz OLED display grows from 14 inches to 16.7 inches with the push of a button on the keyboard, and it is sort of magical to watch it unfurl — giving you 50% more screen real estate

Trust me the screen looks amazing.

Diablo does not impress me much at the moment with all the indecisiveness. They announce too many things and the n never comes to fruition.

@DracoTarot As with all humour, it depends on personal taste, some do not mind a repetition with variations like this, and for some, it is too much. So long as it fits you.

I think you can do it in Tiffindell or Matroosberg if you ever go around there for some reason. But it was just an example of an activity done together. And yeah, that's about the same for me as well, in the evenings we often do our own things too.

Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Gen 6 is great, though as far as laptops are concerned I am quite happy with my current Legion 5 Pro. My dilemma is more about whether or not to get a monitor in addition to that. The rolling screen is certainly impressive.

From what I gather it is still a good game, despite that?

@DoctorEldritch I do not mind and will watch an episode or two tonight.

I could visit those resorts and are not much of a hassle to visit because they are in SA. The thing is I want to visit Norway and it's one of my life goals.

Ok, I see. Well, the decision will be up to you in the end to make. I enjoy having an extra monitor than ever before. Makes things much easier for me. On the other hand, it may have not been convenient if I were in your position and also would have been indecisive.

Diablo is still a good game and one of those I grew up playing and will always be one of my favourites. I guess I must be a little more patient and see what happens.

@DracoTarot I was a decent enough show for its time.

Norway is beautiful to visit, but you can try Nordic skiing anywhere where there is snow. I'd even venture to say Norway is good to visit in Summer rather than Winter, you do not get snow, but it is bright out and nature is beautiful.

Yeah, moving around often can be a bit of a hassle, but I get to see new places. I am looking for a good place to settle down, but so far none of them are "just right". I can relate to Goldilocks 😅

I played Diablo a few times as a kid. Did not become a fan then, can't really do it now either...

@DoctorEldritch I would love to not only visit Norway for a vacation. I want to relocate to Norway in the future or an alternative is Switzerland. I want to be part of the culture.

You're so lucky to travel around and see different places and new places. Settling down can be a big issue especially if you have found a few spots that may look promising. Finding a spot that is just right and perfect is a bigger issue.

@DracoTarot That's a tall order, but try your best, you never know what the future holds. Well, you probably do, to a degree 🔮

Moving around sounds good in principle, but it can be such a hassle to have to pack and unpack, arrange transport and storage, and look for new places to live every year or so. Hence the whole monitor dilemma.

I never managed to find the right spot yet, and it does not help that preferences change. I find myself thinking "this place is not bad, but would I want to retire here? Probably not..." and so the search continues...

@DoctorEldritch It's a tall order indeed! I know it won't happen soon because of how things are going at the moment. I still can dream about it I guess and keep my hopes up.

I can imagine. I also will find it a bit unpleasant. I do not know the reason for all your travels and sure there's a good reason.

Everything happens for a reason and being indecisive about where you want to settle may just be connected to something bigger in the future where you will finally find your place of comfort and settle down.

@DracoTarot Without the spice of dreams and hopes, the dish of life would be rather bland 😊

Ah, well, the main reason is that I am searching and so far can't find a good place to settle down. Before I used to travel for work a lot, but now it is almost out of habit 😅 Finding a good place is a valid reason, though.

@DoctorEldritch As long as you enjoy your travels and it's worwhile. I know I'll enjoy it al lot expect the packing up amd moving part.

Finding a spot to settle down would also be difficult for me especially when I haven't seen much of the world. I can imagine there's many wonderful places.

@DracoTarot Packing and moving is always the worst...

There are wonderful places, but that in itself does not make a place good to retire to, or indeed to live in. Some have too many tourists, others lack infrastructure or conveniences, or community hubs like Games Workshop store, etc. It is good to live in a visually beautiful place, but there is a lot more to consider, too...
