@DracoTarot We may end up with road-raging AIs though 😅

@DoctorEldritch I'm sure the machines will rise against each other. The issue issue if it would go as far as Terminator.

@DracoTarot why would the machines rise against each other? I would imagine they would conclude that this is not a rational usage of resources. Then again, who knows...

Terminator universe has time travel, that technology changes the rules. In our universe, I am not sure if time travel is possible or will be in the proposable future, so it probably will not be as Terminator.

@DoctorEldritch My guess is when the machines drive the human race to extinction they will turn on each other. Humans are unable to live in peace so will the machines struggle to do the same.

If some genius or mad scientist figures out how to split particles and align them in the exact order, time travel may be possible.

@DracoTarot I am not sure, that may be true if there were logically-unsolvable problems that prevent peace, but I imagine there aren't any of those. I mean, machines have no need for money, their main focus would be raw resources, and it is more economical not to waste them on the war effort.

Is that all it takes to time travel? I read it requires gravitational wells, and even then you can only travel into the future at an accelerated pace (something like what they experienced in Interstellar on that giant wave planet). How does splitting and aligning particles help time travel?

@DoctorEldritch You have a good point but what bothers me is when machines are programmed with emotional intelligence. Will they not act the same as we do? I mean their emotional intelligence will be the key to both personal and professional success and if other machines may be a threat they could report anger, violence and inappropriate acts.

There is a lot of science behind it and from what I have read theoretically your body in a sense is torn apart but all particles can still communicate with each other through gravitational forces. When you reach the other side all particles will be aligned and you will return to your original form.

Sounds a bit painful to me. 😂

@DracoTarot Hmm, that is true, but I would call into question humanity's capacity to adequately program emotional intelligence. At this stage, at least. Besides, one of the core aspects of a proper AI is a capacity for self-education and self-alteration. I'd think that if the emotional intelligence component were found to cause illogical patterns, it would be adjusted or removed.

I think that what you're describing sounds more like teleportation than time travel?

@DoctorEldritch In the future alien technology could be used as a fundamental tool to program AI. Maybe scientists, developers and governments has hidden blueprints holding the secrets on how to do it all. Reminds me of a song Rob Zombie wrote called More Human than Human. I guess you're right. I'm completely overthinking things 😂

Science confuses me most of the time. Teleportation may be what I'm leaning towards. 🤣

We had another huge storm two hours ago and since then we have no electricity. I'm still convinced it's planned events. There must be some science in this madness. 😋

@DracoTarot Nah, if the Independence Day movie taught us anything it's that even highly-advanced aliens from lightyears away operate on Windows systems 😅

Science can be tricky, that's true. My advice would be to try your hand at those older HEUREKA-Klett game titles. Will not make you a scientist, but will not hurt either 😉

I am not convinced humanity is advanced enough to cause something like that repeatedly and reliably. I'd still wager on chance and coincidence at this point.

@DoctorEldritch 🤣😂. I guess highly advanced aliens species haven't discovered LINUX yet. 🤔

The time to take a well deserved rest came to pass and my grey matter won't be able to handle those HEUREKA games. 😆

Maybe not humans but Aliens are a possibility.
