Griftland is good, though I generally like everything Klei makes. Though out of their games, it's Don't Starve and Oxygen Not Included that are too complex for me. Griftlands you can get into after a few runs. But it depends on whether you like deckbuilding games or not. I generally like them, and their mechanics are somewhat similar, so each new one is easier to grasp. Do you play them?

Yeah I'm not really into deckbuilding games much. That new Slay the spire sequel looks pretty good, but my brain just doesn't gel well with the card mechanics 😓

@ZaidH To each his own. I like them because they are very mathematical, after a while you start to see the patterns. But I do not get any fun from racing or fighting games, for example.

I'd say turn-based tactics are somewhat close to deckbuilding games mechanics-wise. If you like TBTs, getting into deckbuilding could be easier. But don't force yourself, you know best what you like.

I did not like them that much at first either, I'd say their biggest problem is a somewhat high entry point where you need to spend a lot of time getting used to core principles before you can start having actual fun...

@ZaidH To be fair, when S&B was coming out, we did not know about this yet. But, Black Flag remaster is coming out, so that could be a showdown. Sort of like what Shadows will have with Rise of the Ronin.
