Rogue Legacy

A genealogical rogue-"LITE" where anyone can be a hero. Each time you die, your unique child will succeed you. One child might be colorblind, another might be a dwarf with vertigo. But that's OK, because no one is perfect, and you don't have to be to succeed.

I actually played this game when it first came out, it was a reasonably enjoyable rogue-like gameplay. Not as hardcore as Dead Cells, but still an amusing little experience. If you're a fan of rogue-like games, I'd advise you to try it. Or, even if you tried it before, you may want to brush up on your skills (and hey, it's free) as Rogue Legacy 2 is coming at the end of Summer!

But that is not all! Here is another freebie this week!

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a first-person mystery focused on exploration and discovery. As an occult-minded detective Paul Prospero, piece together the truth behind Ethan’s disappearance — and the fate of his family.

This game I have not played, but it has been on my list for quite some time. My concern here is that there is too much pure exploration and not enough actual gaming. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just, for me, you need to be in a certain mood to play this type of game, sort of interactive story, and it does not happen to me that often.

But maybe someone else here played it, if so, would you recommend it?
