Hello Legion Gamers!

Bit of a good news, especially for the old-timers. Some of you may remember or know the Golden Axe franchise. The first game came out in 1989 (yikes, almost as old as me...), and the last game in this franchise is also an old release, all the way from 2008.

The games tell the story of Gilius Thunderhead the dwarf, Ax Battler the barbarian and Tyris Flare the amazon as they embark on a beat 'em up quest to defeat the villain Death Adder (and an array of other villains in later games). They all wield different weapons and magic.

Sega had plans to revive some of their old franchises for a while, and it could be that this is a part of those plans: what better way to bring back the franchise than to make a series about it? Fallout seems to be doing well for itself there (granted, Fallout does not need bringing back, Fallout 3 did that already).

So now we know that Comedy Central launched the development of an animated series of Golden Axe. The creative directors will be Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty) and Joe Chandler (American Dad), though I am hoping for more R&M than AD humour) and the planned 10 episodes will feature an impressive voice cast as well.

So good news. But I have to ask: does anyone here remember or played Golden Axe?
