    Hello Legion Gamers!

Yesterday we had a piece of good and bad news. But this week has had some more news for us, and again, both good or bad. And even, same as in the first instalment, good news is about series and bad is about a studio. So take your pick again!

The Good News is for fans of X-Men and the original animated series from the 90s in particular. Only a month left until the new X-Men '97 series goes out:

For those of us who grew up in the '90s, this shapes to be a real nostalgia trip, more so since the series seems to be a continuation rather than a reboot, keeping the same characters (save one), the same style, and even bringing back some of the original voice cast from 27 years ago.

Except, I will probably need to rewatch the original series, I do not remember where it ended 😅 Hopefully, they will have a recap or something, bringing us up to speed.

And now, same as the last time, the Bad News. And it is also about game-dev companies, but this time it's about Ubisoft. Game devs working for Ubisoft (including those of recently released and well-received new Prince of Persia) went on strike supported by the French game workers union STJV (Syndicat des Travailleurs et Travailleuses du Jeu Vidéo) on the 14th of February, and on the 16th 700 people joined the piquet. They are fighting for better working conditions and adequate pay.

And as if this was not bad enough, Blackbird Interactive (they are working on Homeworld 3 due to be released in Spring) has fired some workers again. This is the second time they have done that, the last time was in August when more than 40 people lost their jobs at that company. This time the number is not yet known, but it is for the same reason of the "internal reorganization plan" caused by "external economic pressure".
