@DoctorEldritch if there is a French remake, I'm not aware of it. As for the translation, the French version was funny obviously, but when I see some videos on YouTube of the original version, I found it different and even funnier I might say

@Saka That is true, one of the minus points for the "smoothie blender" is that it is not that versatile to be used for anything else. And I am big on multifunction, most of my kitchen appliances can do many things (except for the kettle, that slacker just boils water and does nothing else 😅), so I may opt for a hand mixer too. The trouble with it is that you need some fitting bowls or containers to use it in, and I do not really have those, so will need to get some.

@GoLLuM13 I can speak for the version that was shown in my homeland as an example. After I watched the original US version, I realised that what they did in a "remake" was that they translated the jokes, but did not adapt them well to the cultural setting.

The Nanny partially works because it plays up the setting, the NY life, the showbiz, the culture, and all that an extra layer of depth in the original show. The remake did translate all that well enough, but did not adapt it to the different culture, not really, so at times jokes felt flat or weird, and there were those odd moments where I'd think "I know how this is supposed to sound and feel in English and it would work better in English, but no so much here"

So I definitely like the US version in the original vibe better. Chances are if you watch it again in original English you may discover more of those situations where it's different in a god way.
