@DracoTarot Maybe it's hard to find a good gothic location for a wedding? There are not that many around with the right ambience. And personally, I always thought small weddings are better, it is meant to be a personal family and close friends event, I think, rather than something extravagant and big. But weddings are a big thing for some (and big business, too), so surely other people may think differently.

Do not diss the Oscars. Sure the "Oscar" types are exhausting, but it's free food. Free food!

Clothing I am not as concerned with, as it is not painful to wear if it is slightly off. Shoes, on the other hand, are actually painful. That being said, I do try clothes for a long time as well to make sure that it's more "comfy" than "not painful".

As far as I know, shoes like that would not be allowed to travel if not in luggage or they may be confiscated. But I only read stories and never knew anyone who actually had that happen to them.

@DoctorEldritch I also prefer a small venue and wedding. I can think of a few places where a Gothic wedding can be held but they are not available to the public. Old Gothic-style cathedrals, asylums and so forth. 😂

Weddings are most definitely big business. We have so many different cultures in SA and think it would be an interesting job.

I would also be a bit cautious about the food. It may look delicious and divine but you wouldn't know what type of mind-controlling substance was added to the recipes. 😂😀

I do have friends who have New Rock and Demonia boots in their footwear collection and they travel frequently by air. I will ask if they wear their boots when boarding a plane or if they put them in their luggage. Would be interesting to know.

@DracoTarot I'd say it's a state of mind too. Most locations can be infused with a gothic vibe with the right decorations and attitude. But you're right, some places are naturally gothic already. It may depend on how authentic you want that to be.

Maybe you can approach it from a fortune teller angle? If there ever was a time for people to want to lift the veil off their future, it's wedding time. A fortune teller could be one of the features at the wedding, same as a photographer is.

I would not worry too much about it, many foods already have a mind-controlling substance by default. It's called "sugar" 😅

Let me know what they say, it is a curious insight.
