@DoctorEldritch Apparently he did! And he is way more creative than me when it comes to names. Turns out it is Rhea, a moon of Saturn.

That is indeed creative, does it have a story behind it, something space-related? Or maybe, as most celestial bodies are named after various Ancient Greek deities, it has something to do with goddess Rhea? She was the mother of Zeus (among others), after all.

And this, by the way, is also Rhea:

In modern laptops a lot of stuff is soldered down, so there's not a whole lot of modifications one can make. I think you can also replace the wifi card. Maybe? I can't remember if it was socketed or not. Fun fact, a year ago my spouse had his BT die completely in the desktop. The wifi still worked, but unreliably. He was about to consider buying a new motherboard, but I figured a 20 euro fix + some swearing, because I made him do the manual work.

That's true, though I am hoping for the cyberpunk future where computers will be made as a set of components one could easily reconfigure to suit their needs, sort of like LEGO. But that may be a bit too optimistic. Still, nice money-saving find there.

@Saka in theory you can change the WiFi/BT card, nowadays, they use the M.2 slot in a small form factor I can't remember the numbers bur I think it's the 2230 or something
@DoctorEldritch that looks like an official name, but it's not the official name, this is just how I name my PCs, for example I have two PCs with Asus RoG motherboards, so I called them GoLLuM13-C8H (Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi) and GoLLuM13-R5E (Rampage V Extreme) before that I used to give them different names according to the building "project" for example I build on a HAF 932 case, so I called it "Hafina" when I upgraded to a HAF-X I renamed it "HafinaX" and now a more complex one, when I did one on a Stryker White Trooper I called it "Rainumous Styx" 😂 after that I just stuck to simpler names like the one above 😜

@GoLLuM13 Ah, so it is like an official designation and affectionate nickname all in one?

@DoctorEldritch Desktop computers are kinda like that. I meant that laptops are soldered down except for a few components, such as memory or storage. In some models even those are soldered.

The desktop mention just came from a related story where I actually had to replace a dead module.
@GoLLuM13 Just out of curiosity looked it up for the LOQ (I am so NOT going to brawl with that infernal shroud without a very good reason). Looks good!
