    Hello Legion Gamers!

Comics have long been associated with geek leisure, and while nowadays they are more mainstream, they still retain their geek roots. And more recently, the march of technology allowed so many different authors to publish their art in a webcomic format, and it is increasingly easy for aspiring game makers to create visual novels. Indeed, these days there are even nominations in "Excellence in Narrative" for game designers.

Do you read or play any? When it comes to webcomics, I am afraid it is hard for me to find the time to read as much as I'd like, so currently I am only reading one, Lore Olympus:

I found it while playing Hades. It is a modern take on one of the classical Ancient Greek myths, and I like stories where mythology gets interpreted in a modern flair way. But it also deals with quite heavy aspects, too.

As for the games, here the situation is a bit more optimistic as they usually do not require that much time. I played several Western graphic novels (Japanese ones being in a genre of their own), the one that comes to mind is 80 Days:

Another modern take on a classic, this time the famous novel by Jules Verne, but with a flair of steampunk and unusual lore, it is a perfect game to play while travelling somewhere on your own in a plane or a train and offers a fair amount of variation.

These is the brightest examples that come to my mind, but I am by no means an expert or even that big of a fan. Maybe someone knows other examples?

I follow some webcomics, such as Milk Mocha Bear and Foxes in Love.

@Saka Is there a difference between episodic and plot-based comics? I know those both, and they are little panel illustrations with no "overarching plot" if I am not mistaken. Not that it matters, I am just thinking, when we say webcomics, do we mean longer series, short illustrations, or both?

@DoctorEldritch For me "webcomic" means both. I currently just don't follow any with a longer plot.

@Saka Did not find any good ones or can't find the time? For me, it is mostly the latter...

@DoctorEldritch I think it's a mix of both for me. A lot on my plate lately.

@Saka Christmas holidays are coming soon, though. I hope you will catch a breather then. I know Christmas time brings along its share of business, but you can usually squeeze in some cocoa breaks.

By the way, how are you doing with Hogwarts Legacy? I've been playing it for the last couple of weeks myself, almost done now. It is better than I expected, but not as good as I'd hoped...

@DoctorEldritch I got caught up with other stuff and haven't finished it yet, as Hogwart's Legacy is my game where I relax on the couch rather than at the desk. Hoping to fix that soon.

@Saka Other stuff can be distracting, true. I, too, hope you'll fix that soon. 😊 Where are you in the main quest right now?
