@DracoTarot Not a bad thing, I guess, but online games with no option to turn that feature off are not really my cup of tea. I like to have control over my broadband. But that's me, and Diablo 4 seems to be good enough for many to make exceptions in their principles. I guess if I was following it since the beginning and were a fan, I'd play it even despite that conundrum, but I am not so can watch how it all unfolds from the sidelines.

@DracoTarot I heard Diablo 3 on Switch is great for having fun in a portable mode.
Regarding rubberbanding, I have not had this issue personally, but I know SA people just have really high latencies in most games they play. Really unfortunate, that there are not more regional servers to fix these issues.

I have a different problem with this game. It stutters. A LOT. Even lowering the graphics below the recommended settings and DLSS have not fixed it fully for me. I know, I am playing on a laptop, but come on, a lot of people play on laptops.
@DoctorEldritch As a game, maybe I would be Starcraft II. Complex for many, requiring a lot of APM to keep up with and frustrating to play. You would be surprised how many complaints I get about people struggling to follow my train of thought.

@Saka We have a few regional servers but like the rest of the things here in SA they are up to shhhhh!! If you know what I mean.

Latency is a big problem and takes the fun out of gaming and working online. No matter the settings I use while gaming online nothing helps to eliminate the issues.

@DracoTarot Ah, the infamous "if only the servers didn't need electricity to run"?

@Saka Exactly!!! Electricity is the main cause of all the problems. Server providers are also to blame for poor infrastructure. We're 5 years behind with everything while the rest of the world is moving forward.

@DracoTarot as you enjoy carpeting, here is an idea: a human hamster wheel generator:

Would take some work to make, but supposedly will help maintain a healthy lifestyle and generate power for using a PC while you're doing it (or at least make it less dependent on the grid). Hopefully, a generator like this would not be taxed. 😅

@DoctorEldritch Actually I've heard of people using fitness bike-like generators for electricity. Need some power? Pedal for a while. Probably easier to use than the big hamster-wheel.😁

@Saka Probably easier indeed, and many bikes use the same principle to power their lights. Reminded me of that "15 Million Merits" episode from one of the Black Mirror seasons.

But you can't really work or game on PC while biking, at least, not conveniently so. Walking, on the other hand, seems more manageable if you want to multitask.

@DoctorEldritch I couldn't game on a computer when running, but maybe that's just me. I already trip and fall enough without trying to multitask. 😅

@Saka Running is probably too much, but walking should be manageable. There are studies that show that standing while working or gaming has health benefits, and those adjustable tables have merit, I have one myself. Goes to reason that adding walking into the mix is the next step. And if it helps you to power your device at the same time, all the better. 😉
