@DoctorEldritch I'm really bothered by people who can't make up their minds when asked if something needs to be done and if my assistance is needed. I will confirm numerous times and the answer would be "No we do not need help."

Well, as soon as I start watching a movie or series everyone bugs me or needs things to be done. These days I watch movies and series when I go to bed.

I'm not subscribed to any streaming services at the moment. Can't afford it.

@DracoTarot Sounds tough. You're like Leonardo Da Vinci in that talk we had with @Saka in Second Skin by Salva thread.

In Russia, there is a pun that, if you're waiting for an important call from someone, then you need to put your phone deep into a jeans pocket, then get in the shower and soap up your hands. As soon as you do, it will start ringing (so you'll need to quickly wash the soap off your hands, get out of the shower, run all the way to the jeans and fish the mobile phone out of the pocket to answer. This is just one of those Universal laws that the phone will choose the most inconvenient moment to ring with that important call.

So to work around it, it is advised that people would prepare kitchen paper towels and would only pretend to get into the shower, instead getting into the tub fully clothed and just turning on the water to "trick" the phone into thinking that it is a good time to ring. Then removing soap with paper towels is fast and if you are clothed, you can actually make it to pick up that important call.

The point is, maybe you can use a similar technique? You can start watching a movie that you watched before or one where you would not mind getting interrupted. Then, everyone will think it is a good time to ask for your help. You get all those requests out of the way and when this is done, that's when you put on the actual movie you wanted to watch.

Then again, I also prefer to watch series and movies before bed, so maybe it's just as well...

Did you manage to guess anything else?

@DoctorEldritch I'm quite familiar with the phone scenario and it happens to me often. My phone will be by my side the whole day and no one would give me a call. As soon as I leave my phone somewhere or go to the bathroom everyone's looking for me.

Nothing really seems to work when I need some alone time. The best for me is to always watch a movie or series while I'm already in bed. I do have a tv in my bedroom and it helps a lot.

I haven't guessed anything else yet. I'll try to figure out what the rest are.😊

@DracoTarot Well, Murphy's Law and the like would not exist if the Univers did not have a few bugs like that in its operating matrix. At least we know how to work around some of them. And movies in bed are a classic option anyway.

As for the words, maybe the numbers 1 and 20 are the easiest left, I think. But maybe @j7schultz, @Inyeon or @Saka will guess some. If not, then we'll move into the second tier of hints stage, then it will become a bit easier, I hope.

It was too easy to leave it undeciphered any longer. Qui-Gon Jinn knew that Anakin was a true Podracing pilot.

That's correct, thank you @Inyeon! And thank you for the GIF, too!

Well, at least Qui-Gon Jinn got that right. Too bad he did not really see the, you know, other thing that Anakin was (to become). But if he did, we would not get to see that whole story.

Although, if Anakin got into Pod Racing instead of that whole Jedi business, we could have had 9 episodes of Star Wars: Fast and Furious. That might have been cool.

I think now is a good time to advance to the second tier of hints (in bold). This should make the crossword a bit easier to solve, I hope. Here they are:

    3. This iconic sport features players riding bikes with trails of light emitting behind them that can only be played in cyberspace.
    6. This space-era sport is a mix of basketball and rugby played on a triangular-shaped court on a ship under the command of Admiral William Adama.
    9. This 3D fighting sport for up to 4 players was born from a combo of stretchy spring-like arms and unusual boxing gloves.
    11. To play this sport invented in Springfield you need a smartphone, thirteen balls of varying sizes, bats made of glass, some chalk to mark the many end zones, a quaffle, and Kevlar body armor.
    14. To play this racing sport, each contestant needs to have two full boxes of paper, so it helps that it is played in a paper company.
    16. This sport is a bit like lacrosse, except cheating and even outright murder are not only permitted but strongly encouraged to the point where players can be disqualified for "overly sportsman-like conduct".
    17. At any time during this game, the competitors can sign fresh advertising deals to get better weapons and abilities and can even ride a giant battle chicken.
    18. One of the events of this sports show involves contestants driving around on dirt bikes with mounted chainsaws. Luckily, they mostly cut into zombies.
    19. In this sport, distracting your opponent with insults is not only allowed but encouraged, which is not a surprise as it was invented by the creators of South Park.
    20. Participants of these deadly games played in the nation of Panem are referred to as Tributes.
    21. Not unlike water polo, this is the most popular sport in Spira that is played underwater in a giant Sphere Pool.

    DOWN
    2. The rules of this 31st-century sport include mandatory steroid injections, giant spiders, and motorcycle drifting.
    4. This incredibly brutal sport was purposely invented for the movie, but nowadays it has real-life competitions with a little less gore. It uses a "ball" made to resemble a dog skull.
    5. A game in which players hit each other as hard as possible, then run far away and apologize. A complete list of rules for it has only ever been assembled once and the book containing the assembled rules promptly collapsed into a black hole.
    8. This racing sport features the most famous Italian plumber and an infamous Blue Shell.
    12. The games of this sport are commented on by the best announcer of all time, Grim Blitzrow. Players can use dirty tricks such as using a chainsaw to cut through the opposition's defence or rigging the ball with a bomb.
    15. In this sport, two teams of cars fight for control over an oversized ball. The sport was later given hockey puck and basketball modes.
    19. This sport features multiple puns on real-world elements and is overseen by a deity named Nuffle. Puns include such brands as McDonald's (McMurty's), Budweiser (Bloodweiser), Adidas (Orcidas), and Gatorade (Kroxorade).

@DracoTarot, @Inyeon and @j7schultz, maybe this will help to guess a few more? Numbers 20 and 8 are probably the next easiest ones.

If I'm thinking right No.3 is the bike racing sport from Tron Legacy movie I don't know what it's called though😹
