@DoctorEldritch I will share the deck in all its glory when I have one. I think the photos online do not justify how the deck looks, and my pics would look better.

@DoctorEldritch I remember reading somewhere about the tattoos they messed up deliberately but afterwards, they did cover-ups with some decent ones.

@DoctorEldritch All I know is the 1933 version of Alice in Wonderland is scary as hell!!

The drawings and the actual characters were odd to say the least.

I imagined it looking somewhat like this:

I can't imagine why people would do that deliberately. That means more time being needled, does it not? Getting a tattoo is painful as it is, why deliberately make the process longer than it could be?

@DoctorEldritch It seems you know me quite well!! 😂😂. I do not have all the expensive equipment and my mobile phone would be my weapon of choice to take some photos.

Thanks for the effort in making this. It made my day!! 😊😉

Aww, thank you @DracoTarot! I am happy you liked it.

The phone will still work well, phones nowadays have better cameras than some professional equipment, I hear. Mostly in phone commercials, but still.

@Saka It still sounds complicated. One of the reasons I do not draw anything is the learning curve: I know that I can't draw things how I imagine them, but it would take a long time and frustrate me to learn how to do it at the level where I am satisfied with how I portray what I imagine, and that stops me from even trying. I p[refer to work with words instead...

To be fair, I think that most older films, when seen now, are a bit cringy. Even Charlie Chaplin ones, which I like and enjoy even now, have a bit of that effect:

But Alice, perhaps, is by her very nature more susceptible to weirdness to the point where it is even scary, but that too could be one of its charms, maybe?

But maybe we'll have more to say about it after the new Nosferatu remake will come out, they just finished filming it in May. And the first film was made in 1922, I hope it will be illustrative of how cinematography leapt in over 100 years.

@DoctorEldritch That's fair. Not everyone has to like the same things; if you prefer working with words rather than pictures, then by all means do so.

Regarding the original question, I liked Tim Burton's adaptation.

@Saka I sometimes think that I may actually like drawing if I develop a decent enough skill in it. But at this stage in my life, I do not have enough free time to dedicate to something like that. So I am content with words.

Tim Burton's adaptation was good, the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way a bit was that I think he made Alice too grown-up. I think it might have been better for her to ber a bit younger, like in the second Alice game, but that's just my opinion.

@DoctorEldritch I like the overall weirdness of old movies and the efforts the designers put into creating the costumes and set designs. I'm all for the weird and bizarre.

I really can't wait to see the remake of Nosferatu. I'm eager to see if they kept to the original script or changed it completely.
