@Saharr This may be a cliche question to ask in situations like this and I beg your pardon if you think that, but what's your stance on anime and manga then?

I don't like anime at all unfortunately

@Saharr Ah, so it is more about culture then. Japan is fascinating that way. Though, personally, my favorite part of any culture is gastronomy. Things like traditions, crafts, and festivals come second after that.

@DoctorEldritch I also do not like waiting in long lines. It really irritates me that's why I always try to find VIP tickets.

I must confess I was always lucky to skip the long queues at festivals and clubs. Most of my friends were part of the entertainment and I had the privilege to go in with them without waiting a long time or paying a cent. They were band members and DJs.

Skipping huge crowds was easier especially if I could join them backstage. All is gone now and those awesome days will not be seen again.

@DracoTarot But what of the crowds? Seldom would someone like lines, those are universally annoying to the vast majority. Crowds, on the other hand, especially music festival crowds, can be different. Sense of unity, camaraderie, all that.

Never could quite get it myself. Put me in any crowd and my only immediate wish would be to get out of it. And I hear in clubs people willingly dance in huge crowds. Madness.

@DoctorEldritch The most problematic part would be finding yourself in the middle of a huge crowd and it's understandable if you would feel Closter-phobic. The best would be to wait until everyone gathers and find a spot at the back or at the sides of a crowd. It makes for an easier escape route. I always make sure I do not end up in the middle of things.

The clubs I visited usually had 3 or 4 dance floors. There were small groups of people on the dancefloor at a time and freedom of movement. Maybe a rave or huge dance festival would be a whole different story. I never went to those types of clubs. I made sure I avoided the madness.

@DracoTarot Oh I am not that worried about any bathroom emergencies, I have a strong endurance when it comes to that. Still, finding yourself in the middle of a crowd is uncomfortable. Luckily, that does not really happen to me, crowds rarely form around me spontaneously, usually, I am the one who ends up walking near the border of one trying to walk around it.

I had a notion at one point to get a pet skunk. Crowds seem to dissipate around you when you're walking your pet skunk on a leash. But that's too much commitment just to avoid crowds.

And I can deal with crowds and lines as long as there is food involved. When I am looking forward to something tasty, I can power through those inconveniences. Which is why I love food festivals best.

@DoctorEldritch I do not have a strong bladder and am one of those people who needs to go often. It also depends on the season I guess. In summer we tend to sweat a lot and there is not much water retention in our bodies. A warm crowd and the humidity could help out with that. Winter on the other hand will be my downfall in such a big crowd. 😊

A skunk could work well but would be too much of a hassle in your own home. I can imagine the skunk getting mad at you and starting spraying all over the place. Not a pleasant thought at all.😂

Stink bombs have the same effect and are easier to conceal. You could clear a path more easily.

I agree, when food is involved I'm a bit more patient. Long lines don't bother me as much then. "In the eternal struggle between heart and brain, the stomach always wins".

@DracoTarot Oh no. The warm crowd and the humidity sound like one of hell's tortures than an activity. Besides, crowds are dangerous that way, it is easy to get dehydrated in them like that if you run out of water.

Skunks are intelligent animals and would spray odor when threatened, so if you treat them right and look after them, there should not be a problem. Keeping them as pets is more common than you may think.

Stink bombs are too in your face. People would avoid skunks even if skunk does not smell, but would people be afraid of a stink bomb before it goes off? If you threaten people with it, that's hooliganism. But walking a pet skunk is just being a good owner.

I am not sure why the heart and brain and stomach would struggle with this. My heart loves the food, my brain thinks about it, and my stomach digests it. They all already have common ground.

@DoctorEldritch It would be torture to suffer in such kind of heat but wouldn't it help to not go to the loo often even if you have a lot of liquid to keep hydrated?

if the skunks are rabies-free and well-mannered I guess they would make awesome pets. I would rather choose a Tasmanian devil as a pet LOL!! Maybe they are not meant to be house pets but think would also help with the scare factor.

I won't threaten people with a stink bomb. I would unexpectedly release the potent odour if I needed to. Sometimes extreme measures are the only option. I don't think it's hooliganism, maybe narcissistic, who knows!! 😂😊😀

I guess the stomach always wins over the heart and mind of a person who is feeling hungry. Eventually no matter how important something else might be food will always be victorious and first of the list.
