Hello Legion Gamers!

We're now in the middle of the month of Sci-Fi and Fiction, and we're celebrating with another competition! Welcome to our sci-fi or fantasy vista design workshop!

The task is simple: design your very own sci-fi or fantasy location. It can be anything so long as it is a man-built place: a city, a temple, a street, a house, a space station, or anything that was built.

How can you participate?

Since this is not our traditional Design competition, but a virtual one. You will be "Designing" your location digitally, by creating an image and then sharing it here in the community under this post.

Where can you “Design” (create) your location?

All the creativity has to take place on a website called https://hotpot.ai/art-generator, where you can ask a bot to create an image by writing the description of what you want. You can do 5 free designs per day!

One of the interesting things about this AI is that offers a variety of different styles to try. For example, I typed "Cthulhu Temple" (well, I am DoctorEldritch, after all 😉) and this is what it drew me in Concept Art 6:

So the AI can tailor the style to what you imagine.

But that is not all! A nice location needs a backstory, so with your submission, please give a few details of what the place is: it's name if it has one, culture, year, and any details you think are interesting or important!

Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Go to https://hotpot.ai/art-generator
2. Use this menu bar to customize your image generator

3. Type in what you want the AI to generate
4. Select the style of the image you want by clicking on style
5. Then click on "Create" (it can take up to 10 minutes per creation, but is usually faster than that)
6. Save/Download the image
7. Post it in the comment section of this thread with a short description!

Some important info:

• The activity will start on May 15th and end on May 29th midnight!
• Members need to participate only in their own communities.
• The winner of the best Sci-Fi or Fantasy vista will be announced by their CM.
• You can enter as many times as you like, so if you design a better location than the one you posted it before, don't hesitate to share it!

As for the prize, this time it will be a co-op game called Across The Obelisk. It is a deckbuilding game for up to 4 people, so can be played both solo and with friends:

@Saka It is interesting how Cthulhu is not from Japanese folklore. It turned out rather well despite that, although the temple is not very Japanese in architecture, it is more Laos, I think. Curious.

Ps A lot of the hotpot images suffer from the compression algorithms the forums use. Here you could check this picture in original quality.

You're right about image compression, I am not sure what the solution may be, do you have a suggestion?

@DoctorEldritch Not really, I have no idea how things are solved behind the scenes on the forums. A different compression algorithm could potentially help.
