While Windows users, like some of you, are torn between the two current versions of Windows, Windows 10 and Windows 11. Some think that Windows 11 is not stable enough, often wrongly, since until now Windows 10 also had its share of bugs after each monthly update. Now Microsoft officially announces that version 22H2 is the last functional update for Windows 10, which means that no new functionality will see the light of day on this good old Windows 10 and the new features will only be for Windows 11. In other words, the next updates of Windows 10 until its end of life scheduled for October 14, 2025, will be devoted to patch security vulnerabilities and fixing remaining bugs. Note that Windows 10 LTSC (Long Time Servicing Channel) users will have updates until January 12, 2027, and Windows 10 IoT (Internet of Things) users will have updates until 2032.

Speaking of LTSC, Microsoft also announced the first version of Windows 11 LTSC since Windows 11 was released in 2021. For those interested, Windows 11 LTSC should show up in the second half of 2024.

You will probably have understood that Microsoft is doing everything to encourage Windows 10 users to switch to Windows 11 before its EOL and probably allocate more resources to Windows 12, which according to rumors should be optimized with future Microsoft's ARM chips.
