    Hey Legionnaires! The fun month is nearing end, but due to ahem... the current season in my country I have been inspired to talk about the topic of playing games when bedridden. I've been down with the worst kind of hayfever, because I only recently started my allergy meditation and the wind from the south brought pollen bit earlier than expected.

    I haven't been able to sit up for extended periods of time. However, I can't just sleep all the time. At this point, I am not sure if I am dying more to allergies or boredom. Now I wish I had a Steam Deck, but unfortunately the financial situation is not allowing me to get one yet. My laptop in the bed is a no go, because it threatens to set my duvet and legs on fire. I have a cooling pad for it, it slightly helps, but then the whole setup becomes really heavy and inconvenient. I am weak and sensitive when sick, alright?!

    What I did for now, was dusting off my Nintendo Switch. It doesn't have many games on it, which is part of the reason why it's not used very often, but for now I just decided to buy a new game. I started playing the Pokemon Purple and it's been fun so far. Maybe I can also explore how long I could use Steam Link on the phone before my fingers die to arthritis. That's some issue I have, I can't use the touchscreens for very long before my joints start screaming.

    What about you? Do you still play games when sick? What kind of setup and which games would that be?

    @Saka What you going through sounds horrible and hope you feel better soon. Winter is approaching this side and everything is becoming dry and dusty. Soon my sinuses will also act up and my headaches most definitely will be more intense.

    I do not have any handheld devices and the best I can do is my mobile phone. I do have a tv in my room so if I'm bedridden for a while I'll hook up my pc to my tv and use a wireless mouse and keyboard.

    A steam deck would be nice but like you said financially it's not possible. I'll have to slave and save for many moons to come.

    Well wishes to you SAKA. 😊

    @DracoTarot Thank you!

    I am also exploring the possibility of using my ancient iPad for Steam Link. It would offer me a bigger screen than my phone, but I must say I am slightly disappointed about the colour quality on that iPad. Not very vibrant.

    The phone screen is so small that if I put it away on my lap to use a controller with it I'd need a magnifier for the text. 😅

    @Saka I really have no other alternatives. I had a PS2 at one stage but it got bricked. 😂
