@GoLLuM13 I like French chanson from before the WW2 period, but I am generally old-fashioned that way (jazz, too). But chanson is about as far from metal as you can get (mantras notwithstanding), and I am not really into any other French music. Then again, I do not know any Russian metal bands either, maybe I should look into it for curiosity's sake.

As for Algerian, somehow I liked instrumentals more than vocals, but that's me.

I remembered one more song from the game. Games like GTA or other open-world games with driving often have radio stations catering to different musical tastes. Can't say too much about them, more often than not I find the selection to be lacking, but then again, those are not the major point of those games. And there may be decent metal playlists out there in those games that I do not know about.

But in Watch Dogs 2 in Knight Rider mission where you need to drive around a cyber-controlled car, the game does not give you a choice in music and you get to play the whole mission to the tune of Turbo Lover:

It does fit the vibe quite well. Is this metal enough?

@GoLLuM13 they sound great for a black metal band. I would listen to them.

Here's something only black metal fans would understand 😁

@DoctorEldritch this song from watchdogs is from a band called Judas Priest. Here's the original🙂

@DracoTarot Oh yes, I know it was by Judas Priest, they were credited. Though I like the slightly more powerful version in the game better.

And yeah, I did not get the cracked sofa joke.

@DoctorEldritch Judas Priest is also one of my fave old-school metal bands.

Most of the black metal bands have logos which are a bit difficult to read. The logos mostly contain their names.

The cracked upholstery on the sofa almost looks like a black metal band logo! 😂

@DracoTarot Those aren't logos, those look more like the Rorschach test images to me.

@DoctorEldritch 😂 they surely do!! Maybe their designs are based on Rorschach test images. Who knows!

@DracoTarot Eiter that, or Rorschach was actually a hardcore metal fan (and before it was cool, too). Who knows indeed!

@DracoTarot glad you guys liked my thread! It was actually inspired after I went to the Avatr concert here in Leipzig. And I realized that I have been to a good couple of metal concerts, so I wanted to share some of my love for metal.

@Wersus omg you are back! So nice man! And about your question: I would not say Maneskin is really a metal band (but hey they are still very good). They are a bit more into the Pop Rock cathegorie, which is still pretty good, because a thing many metal heads dont like to admit is that this kind of music is what got us into metal in the first place. Like you start listening and yoou really like it, and then you need the guitars to get harder and the vocals to get more crazy and gradually with the time, the music gets harder and harder to the Metal point. At least this was my experience as a teen (Started with Evanescence, Linking Park, Afi, My Chemical Romance, etc.)

They are a great band, my favourite songs are all the sad ones, like Coraline and Vent`anni, I feel very identified with the last ones, as I am in my 20´s. Very beautiful song. They deserve all the success they are having now.

A great Italian Metal band is Lacuna Coil, they have hard songs but also more soft and friendly songs, if you dont know them I recommend them a lot. This one is a pretty soft song, but still a banger, I thihnk you will like it.

@galadrielmt you are right, Pop Rock suits Maneskin very well. I have no difficulty to admit I listen to Pop Rock and even other music genres, I love music, and I consider it like a therapy with a palette of feelings depending on the mood we are in, and you were also right about a genre that leads us to any kind of metal, for me, it was grunge music with Nirvana 👀

@galadrielmt That umbrella reminds me of the Japanese aesthetic. Do you know any good metal bands from Japan? Or Korea, maybe? They should have more than just K-Pop.
