@DracoTarot Considering the RAM gets eaten up as well, it seems to be some extreme memory leak. People with 32GB still have the game stutter and eat all the available RAM. I haven't seen reports from people with 64GB but there are not that many of those still.

@Saka There are actually gamers and IT techs who disassembled cards after having problems with the solder and used a conventional oven to heat the cards to a certain temperature and the solder would then flow reposition on the tracks.

What they do is they clean off the thermal compound paste with Q-tips and rubbing alcohol and then placed the card face up on 4 tinfoil balls on a baking sheet, The oven needs to be preheated to 375ºf and then the card needs to be baked for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes.

Some do say it works and others don't. There are a few youtube videos on this. Even Linus did one a few years back. Don't know if it's possible with newer cards. 😊

@DracoTarot That looks like a bizarre cooking show for robots at this point. You almost expect Gordon Ramsay to appear at some point and shout "your card is not crunchy enough!". Some dedication to product testing.

@Saka I have 32 gigs in my system and normally have around 45% usage with games. I must say Red Dead Redemption takes around 52% of my ram and also Warzone but Diablo IV would use 80% or more.

I don't know why they would say the minimum ram requirement would be 8 gigs. 32 gigs or ram is barely enough. How low must you go with settings to actually run the game properly? Diablo 4 would look like Diablo 2 graphics-wise.

@DoctorEldritch My Beta download already went to the recycle bin. Literally, the recycle bin! I needed to delete the folders individually. Uninstall wouldn't run for some reason.

Bye-bye Beta!!! Hopefully, the full release would be better.

@DracoTarot If the problem with the card is indeed the soldering then the oven can help. Problem is a lot of amateurs would throw their cards in the oven for any issue and expected them to get fixed. Not to mention, the process causes toxic fumes to be released in the oven.

Also if the solder in the card was the problem then without a professional replacement it will eventually reappear. Just a matter of time until it cracks again.

Generally solder should be pretty resistant to normal heat cycles, unless it is a sloppy job or the company used dodgy solder.

@Saka I would rather try and use a heat gun instead of an oven. You most definitely need to know what you are doing. People do not realize how dangerous the process could be.

I would reckon that the card may not last long if the oven method works. The best would be to buy a new one.

Recently a lot of new cards were released into the market at a rapid pace. There could be a few manufacturing flaws I guess.

@DracoTarot I would definitely be mad and have words if anyone defiled my oven with carcinogens trying to resurrect a graphics card. 😂

@Saka I'll also go crazy. The card won't be the only thing toasting in the oven. 😂

Gordon thinks we're still (un)living in Europe, that's adorable. 🧛

@DoctorEldritch Funny enough when he was in SA a few years back he didn't criticize or complain about the food prepared by local chefs and contestants. It's like he held himself back to say something he might regret. He was more helpful and considerate.

I wonder if all his moaning and ranting is just a publicity stunt. My neighbour's 9-year-old called him " Grodon Moansay"
