@DoctorEldritch As long as you don't go past the point where it's harmful for you and have some resting days, it is fine. It's difficult to get stamina up without getting exhausted!

@Saka Ah, well, it is a bit tricky from person to person. I used to be quite good in tennis at one point, and trained a lot, to the point where my physician told me to stop because I was getting a disbalance since tennis is a dominant hand sport. I was told to do sports with equal strain distribution instead, like swimming or running. So even when you do not train to exhaustion, but the sport you do has a dominant side, you need to be careful.

@DoctorEldritch In kendo the emphasis is on the left arm and left leg. My dominant side is the right one, so I don't think I am going to run into any issues - in the past my right arm was still slightly more defined than the right. I've definitely heard of some people having one leg larger than other due to that... but mine are already not identical, so it doesn't really matter to me.

Aside from the frequent bruising, kendo has been really good for my physical and mental health. I have some chronic back issues that are finally getting under control again because I grew pretty strong muscle that supports it. I still need to do something for my core to get more muscles there, as my back gets stuck in the lower part now. It's difficult to find motivation now that I train about three times per week, I prefer slacking and getting rest for my muscles and feet. From my past experience, it should get better, but I am still just six months into exercise after over a year of being bedridden a lot. The stamina unfortunately won't reappear instantly, it's a long process. Still, it is a lot better than when I started late October.

This thread has been quiet for a while, but recently, I came across something that annoys me to no end, so I want to stand on a box and grunt. So here goes...

Why does Microsoft Bing search keeps creeping into my auto-search feature? Ever since the upgrade where they developed this engine, it's been hijacking my search requests even in Chrome. If before when I typed something in the web address field and pressed Eter, it would take me to Google search. Now sometimes it takes me to Bing.

Not that there is something wrong with Bing, but it is not doing this by my choice, and I don't like that. I tried to follow advice on how to solve this and removed Bing from my search engines even, but it still keeps creeping up on me sometimes. And it is annoying and I do not know how to fix it. Ugh.

@DoctorEldritch It seems like you might have a browser hijacker, because normally that is not supposed to happen if you have Google set as the default search engine. Apparently redirecting users to Bing is a popular thing for malware to do.

Basic troubleshooting would involve purging the browser extensions, resetting settings to default and checking the computer for malware. I think Windows Defender should be enough to find sus things if you run it.

@Saka It only began recently after the last update. But I heard Microsoft is trying to push Bing on users now after they tinkered with it. Supposedly it is as good as Google now. I thought it might have to do with that, but maybe not. Though my Avast antivirus comes up empty.
