Size: 98.7 KB

    Main takeaways:
    • even though two thirds of women admit playing games, they are much less likely to call themselves gamers than their male counterparts
    • about half of female players prefer mobile devices
    • roughly 3 in 4 female players prefer single player mode
    • the sense of belonging is less common for female gamers, hinting that there's still a lot to do to make gaming more inclusive

Seeing that 72% of women play video games makes me happy, whether they identify themselves as gamers or not. Do we have the description of what a gamer is ? 👀
That is true that women aren't well represented in games, let's be honest, for a man, the more he has armors the more he's protected, but weirdly enough in the same game for women it's the opposite 🤔😅
And let's not talk about the "classic" image we have like with Peach and Zelda, the damsel in distress, with the hero always there to rescue her like she can't do anything by her own 😅 Thankfully we have games like Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and Metroid where we have strong and perfectly capable women
