    Good evening everybody,

I'm new to pc and just got a legion tower 5i. my question is what information do I need to look for when upgrading to a liquid cooled CPU? Just trying to avoid buying the wrong part.

another question I have is about RAM. My system currently has (2)-8gb sticks in slots 1 and 3 16gb total. Now when I add RAM to slots 2 and 4, do they also need to be 8gb sticks? or can they be any size as long as they are ddr5?

Thanks in advanced if you took the time to answer this!👍

As for water cooling, modern AIOs are compatible with most sockets so just double check that and make sure that the radiator would physically fit in your case (I recall the Legion desktop case not having that much extra room).

Mismatched RAM is possible. While ideally you want sticks with the same specifications to maximize stability, I am not sure if the Legion you have supports XMP. When running default JEDEC speeds it doesn't matter, because every RAM module on the market must support them, else they are subject to RMA. Put the memory in the remaining slots, when using mismatched stick sizes it's important to ensure that they are in the correct slots. Typically they should be symmetrical like: Stick A - Stick B - Stick A - Stick B. That will ensure that dual channel memory is working correctly to its full capacity. Otherwise the dual channel only works up to the doubled size of the smaller stick. It's important for CPU performance.
