For the start I'll post a few additional photos from Saturday, which I couldn't fit into the previous thread.
In the central part of the expo there was a large Intel zone, packed with activities. Unfortunately, I didn't catch any of them, as at the same time there was other stuff going on elsewhere. but I'm sure others have benefited. There were also many different computers to test out and play games on, with a different selection of games than at the Lenovo booth.

Slightly hidden in a nook there was a very nice hologram with music from games from the Silesian Philharmonic. You could walk through it and admire the effects. Leaflets informing about a concert with this music - Game Music Fest - were also distributed. It takes place on February 17 and 18. I would love to go myself, but I won't be in Poland at that time anymore. There are some details in English about this event here: https://filharmonia-slaska.eu/en/game-music-fest-2/

There were many people in fancy costumes, likely preparing for the cosplay competition hosted by Lenovo. I particularly remember someone with a long, busy tail, which had to be carefully carried through the doors else it would get stuck on the frame.

In the quiet space of the business zone, there was a presentation prepared by John Miedema regarding the latest laptops, which were announced earlier at CES, and the solutions implemented in them. I have photos covering almost the entire presentation, but in my opinion it deserves a separate thread. I also had the opportunity to get a very close look at a few of those laptops.

Soon after the presentation, I went with @Aaricia, @TrendaTen and a few others to watch the cosplay contest. Unfortunately, I was standing quite far in the crowd, because there were many viewers and I came a bit late. That combined with my rather short height made taking pictures tricky.

@Aaricia borrowed the sword from the knight who placed second. So huge!

I got @Aaricia's permission to share some photos that were taken on the stage. Much easier to see the costumes there.

Somehow I remembered the announcement from the speaker when this lady was leaving the scene: "Safety first" Careful for the wings! Make room for the wings to pass!". It was necessary, given how crowdy it was there and these wings were difficult to make around with, but it still sounded funny. 😂

The first place was taken by Nova from StarCraft II:

On Sunday upon arrival to Spodek (The Saucer) I watched quarterfinals in StarCraft II. The first quarterfinal was Maru (Terran) vs Solar (Zerg). Then the next one was RagnaroK (Zerg) vs Serral (Zerg). I was rooting for Serral, but he was sadly defeated by RagnaroK. It looked a bit like stress has influenced Serral too much and he conceded early in the key game, which was still winnable - although not easy after a setback. StarCraft II is such a peculiar game, it is a game of not only mechanical skill, but also mind - dealing with the opponent, but also oneself. It is very difficult.

Later I passed by the Legion stage which had some rapping contest ongoing at that point of time.

I went to check out the VR zone, because I was told about it by someone. I completely missed it on Saturday, it was in a corner of the expo area at a side entrance.

In this picture there is some target-shooting game where one passes through rooms filled with targets (correct and fake ones) and traps.

The second game allowed one to become a paratrooper with the task of flying through the rings visible on the screen.

In the meantime, my stomach started acting as if it wanted to digest itself, so I went to Bistro Emcek to eat something. The wait for the food was quite long, but eventually it paid off, as the meal was very tasty. The wait was a bit uncomfortable though due to a cold draft from the nearby entrance to the MCK. The weather outside was quite dreadful, windy and rainy. I had a piece of grilled salmon with green vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, green beans) served with sesame.

Later in the afternoon, unfortunately, I felt unwell and had to spend the rest of the evening in a quieter place. Hence, I missed the StarCraft II semi-finals, and the final was taking place while I was heading off to the train. I'm a bit sad about that. As a consolation, however, I watched the stream from the CS:GO final on the projector in the business zone.

I'm afraid that I left the event a little heavier, because the worried Lenovo team offered me cookies and cake every now and then. They had sandwiches on Saturday, but only snacks on Sunday. Thank you for the care and a terrific time overall. 💜

@QueenTomato Thank you! That "waterfall" holo picture is quite magical indeed!

I think I was impressed the most by the cosplay competition. A lot of participants with really amazing costumes. High level of detail, well crafted and such. I don't envy the jury the task of selecting three winners. There were so many that could have been the winners instead. Really well done!

Watching the games live was thrilling too, it's something quite different from just seeing a stream when you see the action happening on the stage so close to you.
