Hello Legion Gamers!

After 2 years of waiting, today Returnal is coming to PC:

To be honest, I feel a bit wary about this one. It seems to have won awards and was a good game for PS5, but PC is not a PS5, and it does look rather hectic.

So I wanted to ask, has anyone tried it and, if yes, is it worth it?

@DoctorEldritch never heard of the game before. Looks interesting but I think I'll still use a controller on PC instead of a mouse and keyboard.

The way the game was designed makes it more controller friendly.

@DracoTarot Curious you say that, I bought a controller last year with @GoLLuM13's help but have not tried it out much yet. Maybe this would be a good option to use it then. But the game itself looks hectic to me, with too much happening on screen at once.

@DoctorEldritch The game does look very fast-paced and that's why I would suggest a controller. It's much more manageable with key bindings.

Returnal reminds me of Devil May Cry. Not the storyline but the gameplay.

I haven't tested it, yet, I'll probably be on Hogwarts in few hours/days 😜
But from waht I've seen, there is shooting, a lot of it, and when I have to aim and shoot I automatically use mouse and keyboard, but having it compatible with controllers (with features for dualsense) is a very good point

Off-topic : Funny story, I remember, a year ago, my uncle sent me through a cousin this game "Returnal" with another one "Ratchet & Clank Drift Apart" both on PS5 telling me that he thought those were my games, I was looking at the boxes for like 15 minutes thinking it was a joke because I don't have a PS5 🤣 I texted him (with pictures), he didn't realize those were his games that were sent in a pack with his PS5 🤣

@GoLLuM13 So many people are into Hogwarts Legacy now, have fun.

There seems to be a lot of shooting, but also a lot of dodging like it is a mix between traditional shooter and bullet hell. And games like that are too fast-paced for me. I know some people like those challenges where a millimeter to the side is all the difference between being hit or not, but I was never into that. I like to do my killings meticulously, if at all, hence I prefer to be a sniper or a medic.

But the game seems to have good reviews and awards and all, so maybe there is something to it. Not sure how well I'd manage with a controller, though.
