@GoLLuM13 The aftersales are really bad here in South Africa. The problem is there are no direct service centres available for repairs and if the phone fails we have to take it back to the seller and the seller does not replace the phone. They'll send it back to Samsung.

I waited 9 months for my Note 3 to return and the phone was never the same.

@JokerZida I do agree with you and Samsung phones are more rugged than others don't get me wrong I do like Samsung phones, especially the new releases. Most of the other rivals are indeed Chinese companies and they do break more easily.

What I found with some of the Chinese phones available in South Africa is while they break easily they are also easily fixable. We have small shops here and there that can replace most of the parts but high-end phones become a little bit more tricky. Most Samsung phones do not have a carry-in warranty for some stupid reason in South Africa. If it breaks even after the third day of purchasing it the seller would then send the phone to a service centre and the service centre is usually abroad.

As mentioned to @GoLLuM13 I waited for a Samsung Note 3 for almost 9 months to return and the phone was never the same.

I currently have a XIAOMI 12T Pro 5G 256GB and am very happy with it. Got it for half the price compared to a Samsung phone with almost the same specs. Had no issues with it and does everything Samsung does.

My phone comes with a 3-year carry-in warranty and if it breaks I'll receive a replacement or it would be fixed locally within a week.

Samsung is awesome and their phones are top notch but it depends on where you live I would Imagine and how you would be able to receive service afterwards. Here in SA Samsung is very much overpriced and customer service is non-existent.

Something else Samsung does not show on their devices when we buy them here is the barcode on the phone must be scanned and registered on the Samsung site. If you don't and the phone fails after a certain period the warranty is void. No returns of replacements would be given.

@DracoTarot I passed the details, but it took them 4 months in my case, they replaced the back glass of my S7 Edge with the back of a S7 Edge Duos, so I got the Duos logo while it wasn't a Duos (but that's "ok"), the proximity sensor wasn't working too, another proof that they don't care about their customers, they haven't made a simple sensors check, which is a pretty standard procedure.
And if I have to believe the recent fiasco about their early dying SSDs (990 Pro and 980 Pro) and how they treated their customers all around the globe, my conclusion will be wherever we are, (except the US maybe) they don't care about their customers until the medias take the story 😂

@GoLLuM13 Yea they need to up their game a bit. Would be beneficial in the long run. There's no need to first have a million complaints and then an issue is solved.

I remember the SSD fiasco and don't care attitude they had. All they need to do is have a good hard look at customer service. 😁

My Note 3 came back after 9 months with a smaller capacity battery. Had a 3000mah originally and they installed a 1500mah due to stock shortages. 😂
