So #Christmas movies -topic by @Saka as well as #What is the best music for December? -topic by @DoctorEldritch made me wonder: we have limitless about of different nationalities here, but both movies and music we have mainly spoken about has been in English.

So, what if this time we are talking about movies made in your own country? Nordic, we'd have Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland here. Show movies made in your countries! (Feel free to participate even if you would not be Nordic at all, by the way).

To make it not go too long, you could just either put a picture and explain it, or post a trailer found from YouTube. If you find both trailer and theme music, feel free to post both!

Joulutarina ('Christmas Story') is Finnish-made movie back in 2006. It tells the touching story of how Santa Claus came to be Santa. Chorus always gives me chills. Valovuodet (Varjosi jäi) by Antti Tuisku was it's theme music. There's some strong emotions behind this song, sang in Finnish.

Jadesoturi ('Jade Warrior') is a Finnish-Chinese co-produced movie. It combines elements of the wuxia with Finnish mythology Kalevala. Fate by Bleak ft. Ana Johnsson & Kimmo Pohjonen was its theme music. I think this song is beautiful and completely sang in English. It was a huge success, being first Finnish movie ever shown in China. Movie's international distribution rights were sold to more than 30 countries. Liongate released their DVD in 2010 in USA.

@Liue "from your own country" is a complicated subject for me, but if I had to choose, I'd say there are some traditional winter holiday-themed ones that are quite aged but well-loved now. Here is one. I did not find a trailer with subtitles, so have a whole movie:

@Ryjax I heard that LoTR marathons are a common tradition, but I never learned why it is the case. The whole trilogy only has a little bit of snow...

@DoctorEldritch Haha yeah I dont know I think its because the movie always shows up on the television channels over here and just has a nice movie chill feeling watching it every once a while like the Harry Potter movies aswell!

@Ryjax That may be it. Personally, I do not own a TV anymore and do all my watching online on PC, so I am not sure what they run over Christmas except most traditional choices. If they decided this time is good for LoTR or HP, well, that's good news for the fans.

@DoctorEldritch Hell yeah can never go wrong with some Lord Of The Rings and hear Legolas screaming they taking the hobbits to Isengard!

@Ryjax I'm rather thinking that watching Hobbit and hearing Legolas muttering "I should not even be here..."

Yes, I can do bad LoTR puns.

By your own country I kinda referred to a country you're possibly from, or a country which you feel like being your home. Since it's Nordic forum, I was interested hearing if we would have any Swedish, Danish or Norwegian made movies here (or any other country, feel free) as most movies are made in US - but we have so much potential outside of it as well!

@Liue as far as Nordic goes, I only know The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Let The Right One In, but that is because they're famous. And then there's this year's Troll, but I have not watched it.
